I'm replacing my kitchen faucet but the new faucet's cold supply line is too short to reach the shutoff valve. On the old faucet the cold was longer than the hot which made it fit just right.
This new one has the hot line longer than the cold as in pic related. So is it possible to switch these out in the actually faucet/handle or do I need to get an extension?

Why not just switch the lines on the valves?
Surely that will fix the problem correct?
>>
>>1012986
Like from the lines that come from the shut-off vales? Could you re-explain?
>>
>>1012988
The hoses that come off the valves and connect to the faucet
Why couldnt you just switch both of them?
>>
>>1012990
The hoses in my kitchen cabinet are the same length. But if you mean switch the hoses in pic related, how can I do that?

*In the cabinet under my sink

New hoses cost like $4 each. Just get longer ones.

>switch these out
take it apart? no
simply use the opposite one? I don't see why not

Get a coupling, an extension, or a longer hose. It's easy and cheap to do it the right way. You absolutely could hook them up to the wrong sides and it would work, but I had a plumber uncle tell me once it's not up to code. He could have been bullshitting me, but it's the same thing as light switches, on a basic circuit up should always be on, and down should always be off. Left should always be hot, right should always be cold.
