They killed the game for me long before that when they completely gutted it story quests and cinematic so people could get to endgame faster so they would blow real money on stuff. The last thing you want in an RPG is to get to endgame in a couple of weeks. Might as well just go play trash like CS:GO or Overwatch.

That and the fact the character generation was trash. Everyone looks like everyone else. The 16(at best) color pallets and the fact that horns/ears were all hair specific dramatically reduced Castanic and Eline potential uniqueness.

I only started recently (and to my great shame, I started roleplaying in that game), and while I did notice how quickly you level up and how bullshit it is to get money and stuff once you hit level 65, I don't really miss the campfires and non-gender classes because I'm used to them.

Game was way better at launch. There was a lot more to do. Getting off the start island took a good few hours with lots of quests and some nice cinimatics to enjoy.

There was also an instance as the very last quest (Completely soloable but let you wet your feet with partying).

Honestly my only gripe with the old starter island was single mini bosses. Higher damage classes would cut in line (Which was rarely more than waiting for the current person doing the quest) and steal the kill making them have to redo it. Cause you know... waiting 30 seconds or asking to party is way too hard...

It was just from a custom game I did a long while ago with some friends, not sure if it's in any normal game.
Basically it creates a field that cancels any kind of magic or other bullshit, a barbarian can still ream you in half due to his sheer strength, but his special abilities would be nullified, a mage would basically just be some guy is a silly robe as would a god unless he was /fit/ on top of his powers.
In short everyone becomes a normal person when exposed to it. Until they are outside its area of effect.

I think the point >>7597838 was trying to make is that you have more work than you should when you animate like that. You seem to try and make everything move on the screen at once, and the effect this causes is "twitching" instead of "natural-looking".

Growing up used to anime and cartoons done on the cheap means we expect that large parts of each scene will be static, and this includes characters.

So, if you decide do animate spankings again, try to work LESS, not more:
a) Learn to use layers instead of redrawing the whole scene.
b) If you're not confortable doing soft animation cycles, leave the parts unrelated to the main action static.

This may look like "cheating", but it will perversely make your work look more professional.
