Never liked that kind of amputation as in your pic. It implies most of the ass is gone, too, and having shoulders wider than hips makes the figure masculine. Removing shoulders to compensate that would the body look like a cigar, even less appealing. Ass should be kept as padding and, in absence of legs, extend to the front.

That story reminded me of this pastebin I found a long time ago about a VN idea where the protagonist has an amputee fetish and is a rich heir so his mom arranges a bunch of amputees for him to choose from. Among them were a childhood friend quad who had a botched scars since she heard he liked amputees, a jealous tsundere rival of the childhood friend, an ara-ara older lady type character among others.
