What would be the best use of transformation powers at a comic book convention?

The first obvious idea would be to just turn the cosplayers into whatever it is they're cosplaying as, but that would leave all the women not in costume unchanged. Maybe everyone turns into creatures from their favorite comics, TV shows, games, etc?

Or should all the women be turned into one kind of thing? Twileks, Asari, Roger Rabbit-style 2D cartoon versions of themselves, superheroes....maybe carded action figure versions of themselves?

Would be funny to hear reports out of Emerald City Comicon that all the women there have suddenly started turning into the hottest alien species from every major sci-fi franchise.

Realistically, *any* change for women would be horrifying (unless they've already got a hardcore TF kink and also somehow happen to end up transforming into something they've always wanted to be), so even a relatively mildly transformation like turning all women at a comic/sci-fi convention into Bajorans from Star Trek would still cause most of those women to (justifiably) panic, because their bodies are being altered without warning against their will by an unseen force beyond their reckoning, to say nothing of the fact that none of them would even be technically human anymore, which would then call into basic question their human rights, etc (despite the only difference in their bodies now being that they have crinkle-cut noses and sneeze during pregnancies).

And that's just the base standard reaction - imagine those thousands of women freaking out more if they find themselves turning into something even more unhuman, even if its from a franchise they know and adore. While I know plenty of women who love Mass Effect, I don't know a single woman who wouldn't lose her shit (in a bad way) if she suddenly started turning into an Asari or a Quarian or, god forbid, a robot.

You could make matters worse by turning all those poor women in the convention center in even more inhuman things and/or from movies, games, comics and shows they know little about. Have women who only know Mass Effect aliens start slowly turning into H.R. Giger monstrosities, or have Star Trek fans start turning into Mon Calamari who can't stop themselves from laying eggs in the middle of the aisles...

Technically it's both. There's an episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine where an alien woman is abducted by other aliens and turned into that other alien species against her will, and spends the whole episode freaking out about it.

Yeah, that's a weird flaw, but I tend to just assume that the victim's "knees" quickly melt away soon after the last pic we see of them, completing the transformation.

Part of the reason I love the idea of mermaid transformations so much (aside from women freaking out as their respiratory systems start to fuck with them) is how their legs would quickly rob them of the ability to walk before they probably even realize exactly what it is they're turning into (assuming we're talking about transformations that take more than a second or two to happen).

Lovely to imagine a woman losing the ability to talk as her feet slowly flatten into fins, her legs lengthen and taper into flailing, scaleless flesh-colored tentacles and her knees vanish before her legs finally start to merge and suggest the final form that she'll be spending the rest of her life in...
