I choose to believe they are being transformed into tengas.

So where did this come from? I'd like to know some of the backstory for it, is it some folklore thing? Or some sort of a curse from a tabletop game? Also some stories about being turned into a pot/being used while being one would be really cool.

As far as I know they were invented by an artist who goes by Gamera (http://gammatelier.free.fr/) who also did most of the pictures in this thread. He draws a lot of weird stuff.

Personally I prefer upper torso out of the jar...like a vase or urn. Something that they're stuck and struggling to squeeze out. Like a fat genie.

Actually, I think it was something Zigzag Factory came up with, being known for that kind of thing already. People like Gamera spread it onto Pixiv where it took off, as Zigzag went quiet before Pixiv became as popular.

Yup, it was started by Zigzag Factory, as Gamera himself has mentioned. There was also a mysterious westerner named AVX. In those days when skilled /d/ and /g/ artists were rare, he was easily one of the best but also immediately disappeared. Those were the fetish pioneer days.

It originally started on an amputation and body mod site as surgically objectifying people into works of art. Gamera preferred a lighter touch with their mods, imagining them still having a daily life. He posted the first examples on Pixiv and brought it to a new crowd, including the TF fans. Asia in general has a lot of fantasy tropes when it comes to seals and trapping containers, so it clicked for their side as well.

Nowadays the cause and level of permanence depends on the artist.

Stories of them being used are practically non-existent, though. The only one that comes to mind is one based on Gamera's drawing of an office ladypot. Because most ladypots are already full of the girl's body, and are kind of awkward as onaholes. There are such things as specialized ladypots with uses, but I don't think any have gotten stories. Just short sequences with dialogue which basically come down to variants of "ohnoes."

Uh, no. Bodies are *really* complicated, there's all kinds of glands and chemicals flying around.

If you want to get really technical, you can live for a while with just a brain and some oxygenated blood flow?

If you want to survive indefinitely and be mostly healthy, though, you need most systems. Also, assuming you have no external machines keeping you alive. You can lose most voluntary muscles and many bones, but you need lungs and a diaphragm to work them, plus enough digestive system to process food, even if you are fed.

So basically everything in the thread couldn't work, sorry, without magic or fictional tech.

Well, you need a fair bit of stuff. Sure, if the pot was big. But you're talking stomach, intestines, any internal reproductive gear, liver, various glands. Plus, bone marrow makes red blood cells, so you need some, not sure how much, exactly.

You could probably get rid of most muscle, calcium part of bone, lots of skin, dump a reproductive system. Beyond that starts health problems, the more you lose the more problems might happen.
