I make a build and then go picture hunting.

No matter how 'crazy' a special snowflake build is, it is very rare for there to not be at least ONE similar picture with 80%+ of the same appearance traits floating around the net somewhere.

Quite often, when I play a CYOA that is a waifu-builder or a pick your own form kinda thing, when I'm done, I like to go to one of the booru sites, Usually Danbooru in my case, and use it to find an illustrative picture that's as close to my build as possible.

Because being able to post a picture of my build is cool, and it sometimes gets me more of those (you)s since people seem to notice and respond to my builds more often when I do that. Like picking out a character image for a tabletop campaign character, SOMETIMES someone might make an entire character after an image, but usually they need a knight or something so they find one that suits the type of character they were already building.

I admit, sometimes I'll go back and tweak a build to suit a picture if it was really close. In this case I added horns. But if that triggers you so hard, go yell at people in /tg/ for posting pictures of their batlemage characters for having no imagination.

Anyway, Danbooru, Gelbooru and similar sites have a REALLY good tagging system, so I can filter shit down and find the exact perfect pic easily. I really recommend them for anyone who wants to post build pics. Sometimes when I do this on /tg/ I have to pass up an otherwise perfect pic because it's too lewd. Ah well.

This is absolutely excellent Anon. Although if I could make some suggestions, you may want to tweak the hobbies section slightly and maybe expand the extra features section and add another row to the inhuman traits.

As it is, the hobbies can be sufficiently similar that they become annoying to have to pick between. I mean, take for example all of the different 'Media' themed interests. Reading, Television, Movies, Video Games, Anime. That's five in and of itself. And then Sleeping and Lazing are separate for some reason, and there's all of the athletic ones which sort of flow into Hiking, Hunting, and Shooting as well.

I'd recommend combining some of these and broadening them slightly. Then adding some new ones to the open space. Gambling, Philosophy, Academics, Fashion, Finance, Fighting, Engineering, are all good possibilities that aren't really represented right now.

Likewise, the Inhuman Traits makes me sad because it feels like there are options missing, and not quite enough slots to really get a good monster-girl going. A top-tier dragon or demon is going to want some combination of ears, horns, skin, wings, tail, teeth, claws, tongue, and eyes, and there's only five slots available. Plus you could add Extra Breasts, Extra Eyes, Exotic Hair, Gigantic, Diminutive, you could even potentially go wild and add an Extra Head option.

Much to my own surprise, I've actually been making good progress lately. Turns out a 6 hour flight is great motivation to get some writing done!

Update that's coming down the pipe:
tweaked a few of the modifiers based on some feedback I'd gotten before. (I think I also added a couple, it's hard to remember)
I've finally finished adding Nemesis options to everyone! (Took way longer than I anticipated)
I've also added Kryptonites. (Currently only have 4, but I think you'll like them)
I've added a section for designing your own headquarters. (I still want to flesh this out more)

All I have left is to finish revising the powers section! And to that end, I have another long flight early next week, so with any luck, the next version will be out some time in the next 7 days.

Any suggestions and tips for how to plan and create these? I have Photoshop and know how to use it, but and suggestions for how to make these things easier to layout and make would be appreciated.

I have a good idea of an CYOA where you are forced to transfer your mind to a slutty android body to repay a loan or something like that. The options will include how robotic your body will look, change and add body parts and proportions. Other options will be things like personality, automated behavior and what sort of facilities you can access. Also thinking of having some options not only cost, but also add to a "maintenance" requirement and a few other things like that.
