I have yet to find anything close that could possibly shake a stick at the Staffing Saimin VNs. Even with a half assed machine translation it's superb. The scenarios and suggestions are great and Sayori has beautiful art. Of course to cap it all off it had some legitimate representation of hypnosis rather than the usual "look at this coin for 3 seconds now hop in the bed". What scares you about it?

When you're hypnotized, you would never do anything you normally wouldn't. They can't make you give your bank card #, or take pictures of yourself etc. unless you want to. None of the audio online will make you do anything harmful, and if they try, just stop. You are still conscious while being 'hypnotized'.

Maybe start out with just guided meditation, because really, that's all it is. Work up from there, into simple hypnosis where nothing happens, and eventually go a little bit further and further. You can find some pretty tame ones on youtube.

You probably have a misconception about what hypnosis is. It's simply a heightened sense of focus, where you relax and tune out everything except the hypnotist. This increases your susceptibility to "suggestion", like what happens when someone says "It's so cold in here" and you feel cold even though you were fine a second ago.

Because you're not paying attention to things like your body or environment, you're not getting contradictory sensations, making the suggestion more effective. The same is true of cognitive suggestions. If someone suggests that you can't remember your name, you would normally immediately think "Yes I do, it's X", which would nullify the suggestion. If you're focused enough on the hypnotist that you don't have these automatic thoughts, the suggestion might be effective.

But obviously if there was a suggestion you found wrong or disgusting, you would have a much stronger automatic reaction, which hypnosis wouldn't suppress. That strong reaction would nullify the hypnosis, and you'd "Wake up". It's hard enough to get suggestions you WANT to work, it's basically impossible to give a person suggestions they don't want.

The sadistic sorcerer wet her lips briefly and then went up on her toes to whisper a jeering comment into the ear of the barbarian.
