Like, I come up with this hot or interesting scenario, and I start to work on it, but soon after, another idea that usually can't be worked into the first, gets lodged into my head, and it makes me want to stop what I'm doing and try that.

Also so as not to waste a post: I started on the opening to my Monsterboy x Tomboy encouragement fic. Feels pretty good to have a real start (even if it's minuscule compared to most fic posted nowadays) and I'm definitely going to keep going tomorrow, but I wanted to ask:

should I throw in a justifiable and plot-relevant (but not critical) solo smut scene so people will actually bother to read it when the first chapter is published? You can just click on the link for yourself, but generally speaking people would probably prefer finished stories. The master list is just a digital library/archive of all the fapfics made over the years in one easy place with some organization.

Not really any rules like that, but I don't think anyone really wants to add a 250 word start of a story to the list. A lot of authors use a chapter format for works that are very long so that they can put out a good amount of their work in sections.

If you intend to imitate snek's style, then it's basically just throw the story up the instant you reach 2,000 words and make continuous updates in here.

So, I found this fic. One-shot, on ao3. Liked the premise, execution was good, if a bit flowery, except for the ending.

What felt like a flawless lead-in to some quality smut screeched to an abrupt halt and the story ended without much further ado.

Just some stuff I caught on a casual pass through. Gracie acted pretty nonchalant outside of like two lines of dialogue, despite her apparently knowing nothing of the transformations beforehand. Other than that, it's a decent set up to the setting, if not as long as I was hoping.

An incredibly minor nitpick, but it stood out to me for some reason.

I've added a listing for Olympic Beasts to the Master List.

I'm willing to give people a lot of freedom on how they choose to write up their stories for this. I don't know a thing about the Olympics, so anyone with actual knowledge would help.

The main thing would be to make them not entirely monstrous, as the original suggester was very clear on that. So maybe the snakegirls could actually have regular human faces. If that's too far, maybe keep it ambiguous so we can both enjoy either snekky goodness or kissy faces.

There's a very /d/ reason I chose to make one supporting character a spotted hyena. I wonder if anyone will write about it before I get to it.

You might want to tag that with stuff like orientations, and sex acts (or if none are involved) and peripheral fetishes. Weight gain does nothing for me, so I can't really comment on how good or bad it is there, but on a technical level it's much better to use "pounds" rather than "lbs" in prose, and you're a little sloppy with capitalization. Not big deals when it's just for yourself, but for anything you want to share you should try to clean up that sort of stuff. The grammar, sentence structure and general formatting is pretty decent other than that and shit like the odd stray space or minor typo, though the dialogue is very blatantly porn-esque.

Thinking of writing a concept in the vain of Taimanin Asagi, with a female heroine except she wins at the end. Basically, Lara has a nightmare where she gets raped by tribal warriors before waking up. Lara get's washed and cleaned up by the ninja lady in a sexual way by lathering her up with soap and then rubbing her body against Lara's, front to front.

I liked it!

First a couple of negatives, I feel like they're using pet names a little too much. I know the kind of relationship you're going for, but I'm of the opinion that having them refer to eachother as "my sweetheart" or "honey-bunch" quite as much as they do comes off a bit more obsessive than loving. I think if you toned that down a little, not dramatically, just try to spread it out a little more in future updates, that would do the story a lot of favors.

I want to say there's some purple prose going on, but after really examining it, it compliments the style of your writing and the tone of the story, so I can't really complain about that too much. Though I do feel like some descriptions could be simplified without losing any of their punch.
For example, sentences like:
>Her hands shifted from the boy’s shoulders to his face, and amorously attacked his lips for another smooch as they almost drooled over each other.
I feel could be refined into something that flows a little better, like so:

Your formatting is still perfect, no complaints there, dialogue is great and flows well.
Overall I felt a little embarrassed reading it, as if I was looking in on something I shouldn't be, which just speaks to how well you've developed these characters and how genuine their relationship feels.
I think you handled the virgin sex scene very well, and overall, while I did feel it was little flowery at times as mentioned above, you're good at writing sex and it was fun to read.
I really enjoyed the payoff and you did them justice, great work.

Also "velutinous" that's a good word, I'm gonna steal it, and Steven needs to be fed into a meat grinder feet-first.

I would however recommend you take the time to go over the whole once again while reading it aloud. Whenever something sounds strange, change it slightly. You easily go over weird sentence constructions reading it, but much less so speaking it out loud.
