Personally, I'd go with the zipper over the crotch always, even on a neck-entry suit. A sheathe is always going to be made of molded latex AND presumably it's going to be under more stress on average than any other part of the suit, both of which make it a prime candidate for failure. The last thing you want to do is have to constantly repair (or worse, replace) an expensive catsuit just because the sheathe busted. The same thing goes for gloves and stockings.

My neck entry is 0.6 and it feels amazing. It's also extremely difficult to get out of on my own (and getting in is no walk in the park either). I've never had an experience with inflatable stuff but I would imagine that if it's pure compression you are after that will beat any thickness of latex. What are you looking at, out of curiosity?

4mm neck entry sounds absolutely fucking insane. When I first read your post I thought you meant 0.4. I don't care if you are The Rock you are not getting into or out of that thing without serious help from at least two people and several bottles of lubricant. Back zipper might be doable but you must be extremely careful with the fitting because even minor mistakes will render the thing unwearable as 4mm is going to have zero give. I doubt you could even move your arms once you did get into it. If you only have experience with 0.4mm latex I would recommend you try 0.6mm or 0.8mm if you feel adventurous. You will probably be surprised by how much more restrictive even those can be. Not trying to be a buzzkill but use some sanity.
