Your first game needs to be small and simple.
KISS it. Keep It Small and Simple.
Secondly, focus it on ONE fetish. I know that there are some games that take a shotgun approach at fetishes and some even do it quite well, but since your first game will be SMALL AND SIMPLE (because it will fail otherwise), just focus on what your fantasy wants.

So Kuroyokami Refiend has a screenshot section now and I noticed that this one is at day 207. I never touched any of the degredation/submissiveness training but the pure paths seem to end at day 80-ish. Maybe it means a bunch of new content?
I sure hope it's not all part of submissiveness because I'm just in it for the dicks. Other games have 'em but not too many comment on the size or weight. I like how the medical screen has little milestones you pass and then it'll give you new flavor text and medals.

Look into some libraries or frameworks for python set around game dev. That or you'll end up making the entire engine your self.

Plan out ahead of time, make a list of shit to do, and the order you intend to do it in. Revisit this as you make progress. Keepa log of daily progress, it only takes 2 weeks to make something a habit.

As >>7086074 pointed out I feel the bigger issues is that most games just make the sub part a bad end or something that affects your stats negatively (see Trap Quest).

One of the reasons I like games that are less lewd but make going for the "submissive" choice a risk-reward issue (like Magical Camp or the parisite game I cannot remember the name of) is because it makes those elements part of the game mechanics.

Similarly a lot of those Japanese games (though not all) follow a similar template to VH Game and RyonaRPG, where getting those events/being defeated is not an instant game over (I especially like how Ryona handles it by giving an in-universe explanation of a second heroine going out to rescue the first one).


It's a thing I see most "sub" authors forego in their game design approach which is a shame as I believe that risk-reward style gameplay and game design is what suits "sub" games best (but then again, I only believe in their being good and bad games)

Despite what you may think, there are very few events to miss. There's the sensitive tits badend, and the Dryad molestation scenes, but that's about it.

Just follow that guide. After that, grab a knife from the spoopy house and use the rope to go down the well in the main hub, use the knife on the first switch. Check the box in the room for more TF content (Maid compulsion TF) and then go to the dungeon shown (Make sure to click the flaming tree for a new Whip and find Wendy for more cutes)

Since you asked about setting, I would throw in a recommendation for modern fantasy or scifi.

CoC is going to remain the dominant fantasy staple for a long time, and there are plenty of people trying to copy it with their own fantasy settings. By comparison, TiTS is a lot less well regarded due to the excessive fur and poor use of scifi setting.

A really good scifi setting that focuses on the settings strengths rather than "Furry Planet #452" could easily set itself apart. You have multiple routes for character customization with cybernetics, gene modification, and even splicing. You also have the transhumanism or synthetic brain options to allow players to change bodies completely or respawn from death.

On the other hand, a modern fantasy game similar to World of Darkness of the Dresden Files isn't very common and could work well. Transformation there would likely be more dramatic and game changing, since becoming a werewolf or vampire would drastically alter gameplay.

At the end of the day, the main questions are these. What is the most important core gameplay element to you? What fetishes or sexuality appeal to you the most? And most importantly, how will you take those things that turn you on and translate them into fun, engaging, and erotic gameplay?

You can usually divide a name into 3 parts: Prefix, Middle (name) and Suffix. To generate a name, you will need to get a huge pool of name from you standard fantasy novel and divide each of them accordingly. After that's done, you can safely generate names without worrying too much.

I just wanted to share this as an idea for people who want to make a game of their own. Couple threads ago someone suggested just making a game in c# so you don't have to try and work within the confines of Twine. I did some of the tutorials on the microsoft website and it's super easy as long as you know what you're trying to do. It's actually way easier and faster than doing android apps.

Coincidentally I stumbled across this book someone suggested me a long while ago as one of the better resources for learning C#. Pretty convenient to have a book for people totally new to programming based around this sort of engine for their own text heavy porn/adventure games. I pirated it back then and a lot of those places got shut down but if you want to own it legit it's like $4 used for this older edition. If anything it out of date its probably for the better because you'll learn how to make use of the documentation.

Some Skyrim mods do this and do it in a way that makes sense "in-universe" (for the created mod).
The "Captured Dreams Shop" mod for example will give you errands to run and put on a chastity belt on you as "collateral".
If you do well you get unlocked and paid. If you do bad you get your pay reduced and kept locked as punishment for a while.
If you do horrendously you get additional restraints on you plus debt you need to pay back before you get unlocked (or you forcibly "acquire" the belt and restraints but not the keys to it)

From what I recall, there are problems with this though. For example, if you were to enter NG+ with Chinese slaves and have Chinese Revivalism, the Chinese slaves will becomes Chinese Revivalists. It's impossible to keep rep high enough to avoid the growth penalty without completely ignoring money. Even new game plus near perfect slaves couldn't outpace it more than 10 weeks. That said, concubines and bodyguards are really good and easier to achieve than a stable of clubsluts.

I actually use a very precise renaming-system. It's slightly based on the random degradation-names in terms of inspiration, but the way it works is this: Every slave has a name to identify her duty, and a very personal nickname. Though of course, both are nice and degrading.
