I had this issue with my HTv2 and that was really because the tube itself was too big. Once I got a smaller tube with my Jail Bird, this problem stopped. so, I would suggest moving down to a smaller cage unless you have reason to suspect that it might be the opposite/a different problem.

it's a knockoff cb6000s and I'm using the 1 and 3/4" diameter ring. the next size up is 1 and 7/8" and like I said it's a little too big but there's nothing in-between those two sizes

a couple other issues I've noted is some rawness on the bottom of my sack, but I attribute that to just rubbing against the plastic ring so much. I've filled the ring with hot glue to avoid extra pinching so I don't think I can do much else there besides either lubing more often or removing it to clean and breathe more often
