Pretty much this. It was strike zone on most of the kinks and their delivery. I'm not a fan of using fanfic characters, but in the case of the fairy-bunnygirl-wizard one, it wasn't a serious hindrance.

The other one seemed to require knowing who the characters were from the original work to really enjoy it.

I meant using characters from games or other works rather than having characters spun up from scratch. It's smut, so the bar is pretty low and characters don't really need more than two or three defining characteristics, but many OC characters suck and are just mary sue fetish targets. Especially the ones that are blatant self-inserts surrounded by pre-established characters from some other work.

The magic/fairy one started out with three characters, and then quickly dropped to just two so it wasn't hard to follow what's going on. It's just a back-and-forth and it didn't rely on the reader having any previous knowledge of the setting or characters.

In the case of the Danganronpa one, the story was leaning on the idea that the reader would know what these characters looked like, what kind of personality they had, and some of their past interactions. It's a great way to save words if the reader is already familiar with the source IP and you just want to get to the actions, but if they're not familiar with them and you're introducing four, five, six or more characters without firmly establishing them, it's difficult to keep track of who is what.

There was the Usagi-named tiny fairy, the mono-named thing, a presumed protagonist is named, the C-named hacker girl, then someone else was introduced, there was someone else introduced in the middle of a scuffle (purple hair, maybe), and then when the next section begins, most of the previous cast is gone and we're introduced to a "bombshell" character and I'm not sure who's still involved because while there was a name and a description, they were never solidly connected to the narrative.

This is all moot if you're in the market for smut with characters from a particular IP, and it's honestly easier on the writer because someone else went through the effort to make a character— but if you're looking for more widespread appeal, you'll have to put more effort into establishing characters before exploiting them.

The image in >>7048639 is an unrelated one-off I threw together. SBPR doesn't do video, so it's just a picture set.

The storyboard is almost 300 stills so far. I've posted two archives, one from the middle with vore that I have to redo without clothes and a shorter one from the beginning with growth. I originally planned to cut them up and lay them out in comic pages with dialog and some post work to fix some of SBPR's shit, but that's a looong way off assuming I have the time and drive to ever do it all.

I used Maya and 3DS Max yeeeears ago in school, but it takes an enormous amount of effort, rendering time, and stealing to get individual renders with human models that aren't miles deep in the uncanny valley, never mind video. I haven't touched MMD, but I've never seen a model in MMD that's really to my taste. SBPRS is shit awful at so many things, but it makes good looking women with next to no effort and that counts for a lot to me.

I know the clouds are retarded-ass when the sky is visible in a series. SBPRS's sky has no option to calm it the fuck down while I'm dicking with scale variables and posing, that's something I'm gonna have to fix when I'm working on post work. Hopefully the shots will make more sense when there's words to go with them.

In the 12-13 and 22-24 series the clouds don't move, they jump. The plan is to go back and take a series of quick shots without the model and add the model back in from these stills to make it look like a short time has passed rather than what's going on now.

Well, so far I'm willing to point out the problem and say how to fix it, mustering the effort to do it is quite another. There are a lot of things I want to add or fix in post; footprints/sliding marks in the sand from growing, swaying trees and their shadows, comic style frames and pages, clipping issues around the breasts and joints in certain images, repainting the hair in half the stills, text, and the jumping clouds just to name a few. I'm fairly confident I'll burn out or work endlessly on that if I start so I'm just trying to march my way through the raws right now. There's still a long way to go.

The giant: Face is a mess. It looks like he traced the features and did the head himself because the features look competent but the angles mismatch. The shading on the face is done with very faint gradients so it reads as flat. Her palm is missing... half of the palm, her fingers sprouting out of the thenar without the base of her fingers there at all. Her chest is all kinds of wrong, terrible highlighting combined with unearthly roundness and a complete disregard for gravity, nipples both seen head-on while subject is in 3/4s. The small of her back bends out into her shoulders too early and the wrong way. Foreshortening work on the left leg is wrong, wrong, wrong and her left femur is doing something ridiculous. All of the limbs are too short. The shading is too mild and the highlights are slapped on without care for point of origin or shape of body.

In short, just look at her torso, particularly her waist and breasts. Look at her stubby little limbs, and when you've done try to figure out where the hell everything is based on light and tone.

Then there's other characters. I strongly suspect they're traced, which makes their wrongness so baffling. Both are drawn *on* to the image and not *in* to it, see their feet in regards to the floor. The woman either has no forehead or she's wearing an unbelievably flat wig (remember kids, eyes are middle of the head in profile), and her breasts are wrong. Her collar has to be covering her neck (otherwise she has no neck) so the green is her blouse covering the *top* of her chest, not a neckline exposing it. So what's happening on the other side of her arm? Where's that boob coming from? It must be portals.

The guy is reasonably rendered, feet-not-on-floor aside, so I'd wager he was traced. The one positive I can give is that the artist does a reasonable job with fabric, though with perhaps too much gusto as some articles should not have the fold work that they do.

GTSClub has more consistently talented artists, but in what I think has been six years of pumping out comics only delivered on proper giant girl action maybe 3 times. They're more concerned with catering to the femdom crowd and Lore's "go nowhere" growth fetish than they are with macrophiles.

GTSFan has more promising subject matter for its strips, but it's a visual media and they so rarely hire anyone that can draw attractive women that it hardly matters. They also fail to deliver with shocking regularity, the "Weekend Alone" series rather famous for doing absolutely nothing for 3 issues and precious little in those something happens in.

I mean that characters grow... and that's it. They don't do anything, violent or gentle. Sometimes they have sex, but even then more often than not it's with other giant characters. It's very rare that you'll get a giant character actually doing something before the comic ends never to be continued. Several of the multi-issue comics are just "character grows then comic is over" repeated 3 or 4 times.

Basically, the only "action" you'll get is people growing out of things. Handheld, breast play, feet, crush, vore, destruction (not caused by growth), those elements are almost nonexistent in GiantessClub.

ZZZ is too muscle-bound for my taste and I haven't seen anything from ExpansionFan so I can't give either a fair shake. ExpansionFan *looks* like it has all the failings of GiantessFan but take that for the ignorant and cynical opinion that it is.

And I can dig "the girl grew the end" if it weren't 90% of what what they were churning out twice a month for the last 6 years or whatever their schedule is. Microne Magazine does the same shit, albeit just by hitting the same gentle notes issue after issue. It seems like they're doing the bare minimum to appeal to macrophiles in favor of a more general audience, which I can respect as good business, but I can't help but feel we're being neglected or taken advantage of a bit.

For me, illustrated comics are really the best I can hope for, and since all these outlets have taken off only Vivian's Commensalism really nails it. The time/money investment it would take for animated or live action video to be good enough for me is just unreasonable to demand with a community this small. I'm pretty confident we could sustain some honest to goodness quality illustration material, but it seems everyone doing anything about it is determined to screw it up somehow.

This picture right here is worth all the words I used above and then some. She may have a wicked case of anime boobs, but some of that is permissible when everything else is done right. Shading contours the form, anatomy is all on point without any grossly misshapen body segments or misaligned perspectives, on top of that the bed is bowing and the lamp is being pushed back.
