Did some looking at fc's hormone code. the bone structure changes are checked with a roll of 1-100 vs. 75+the slaves age. the nutrition upgrade subtracts 1 from the number to beat, the second upgrade subtracts 2. This means the max age for changes is 24, 26 with with full upgrades. The height reduction is capped at 180cm. 175cm is considered "tall" in the slave creation screen.

So here's a Free Cities question I only just thought to ask: How is a slave assigned to work from the main pool treated differently to one that's been transferred into the appropriate department?

My suspicion is that they're the same except you and your HG can focus on fixing flaws/etc when they're in the main pool, but I'm not sure.

I must admit I am a bit overwhelmed by the selection.

Are there any you would reccommend over others or are all about equally good/bad to start with?

The idea of setting up a wiki for Free Cities has been floated, but where should it be set up? CoC/TiTs and Slavemaker both have wikis that I think are pretty stable now, but have gone through several that fell apart due to no admin, the service kicking out lewds, etc. Sometimes there was data loss, too.

I suppose there are two major choices. The first is to set it up with one of the free wiki systems, but of course the wiki would be boned if they decided to kick out lewds. The second is to have someone, or FCDev, host free wiki software on a private site, but that will incur costs and require some amount of attention by the site owner/admins.

Sengeki of Gear, Virgin Island, Arms Devicer, and ROBF are pretty much considered classics. I think Arms Devicer and ROBF are really long though so they might not be good to start off.

To H..., Minako, Netorare Imouto Misaki, NTRPG 2, and Thug Hero Party are all really good and fairly simple. They're all NTR themed so be warned, though the first 3 are pretty mild and are more like Wife Slut simulators

Nobleman's Retort and Holy Knight Olyana are pretty good and by the same people though they're really vanilla. They are really similar in art and gameplay, I'd recommend Nobleman's retort out of the two, it's a hypnosis game where you corrupt you're aunt and cousin and the town you live in.

Has anyone here played Crossing Knightmare?
I'm wondering about getting the different endings. I know there are special ones for the different body types and if you manage to get the same proportions as the princess, which means losing 2 maps. Can you lose any of the 2? Because the orc map is a nightmare and the futa amazon one is just crazy long unless I decide to draw a map of all the pillars. Sounds like a stupid question but do I need to defeat the final boss for every ending or just the max purity one, because grinding out that 5th map severl times is going to be a pain.

About equipment I know the silver sword is super effective against vampires, the dagger against slime, and the fan (?) in the brother is good against those bald dudes but what about the 4th one and the hammer? I tried using the hammer against everything but it's probably just to smash the pillars since it never connected with anything. Also there are some lewd outfits but I don't know how to equip them or what benefit they provide.

In FC is there any reason to keep cows on natural lactation rather than the lactation drugs? The lactation drugs are a one time expense and don't seem to cause any genome damage even after long-term use, while the increase to profitability is staggering. I get the sense that the periodic health hits from the drugs are supposed to be the major downside, as you then need to waste money on rest or curatives to keep the cow at maximum production, but if you stuff her into a non-industrial dairy then her health seems to get locked at max regardless.

I seem to remember reading something that natural milk sells for a higher price if you're willing to wait for it to start, but I might be imagining that.

If there isn't something like that, there ought to be. In the fluff half the reason people even drink human milk to begin with is because it's so decadent. I don't anticipate it would be hard to charge a premium if you're selling it as "traditional" or "artisan" or some similar buzzword that implies it's more prestigious. Maybe the pastorialism FS options would unlock/enhance it.

Hey now. It's not rated at all, but people are enjoying it to the point that most of the discussion in this general is about Free Cities. It may be FCDev's first game, but that doesn't make it training wheels; it's pretty well designed so far.

It's kind a moot point, since FCDev wants real life and his work on Free Cities to never meet.

There are lewds that definitely are resume worthy, if only so that the creators can explain what they were doing for x number of years. Fenoxo may be rapidly approaching the point where he doesn't have to work another day of his life due to all the furrydollars he's making, but that's been his full time job. In Japan the transition is successful for many creative types, from visual novels to manga. It strongly depends on the work, industry, and country; the Malaysian artists I follow are probably fucked if they ever try to make it more than a hobby.

Auto retirement was working last I checked. It's possible you may need extreme content enabled however. If that doesn't fix it, maybe re-download the latest version and start a whole new game from scratch.

As for manual retirement, that -is- borked. There's an error in the code so that the option never appears. If you know what you're doing, there's a pretty quick fix to make the option appear (although it forwards you to an unrelated scene that you need to skip out of before the actual retirement fires properly).

Sadly, I can't remember what the fix was, but don't worry, you're not missing anything you wouldn't get from retirement kicking in normally. The scene is identical.

I decided to get all the core systems working before I start adding content. Inaccessible code and my ten-seconds-in-photoshop art skills do not an exciting release make. Here's an updated list of changes in the dev version:

Created a weekly upkeep calculation system (that is not balanced in the slightest against how fast you can actually earn money in the demo)
Created a system to generate and save viewers with random fetishes and preferences. Will mainly be used for recurring fans and rich donors.
Created the privacy/doxxing system.
Currently working on the account merge system.
Came up with the basic design for the dedicated fan and enemy management systems (hasn't been coded yet).

The currently plan (which I'm probably going to stick to for a while) is that precautions and clothing and such hide X% of a given feature.
If you show your face area while wearing a mask that hides 40% of it, you now have 60% face exposure tied to that account. It doesn't matter how many times you do it.
The daily doxxing check compares the exposure of two accounts. If account A has 60% face exposure, and account B has 0% face exposure, your face can't be used to connect the accounts. If A has 60% and B has 20%, there's a small chance that accounts A and B will be connected (and forcibly merged to keep things simple).
Account Fame and Privacy also affect the likelihood of doxxing.

I'm probably going to implement a minimum probability requirement so that people don't have to worry about a 0.001% chance to be doxxed every night.

Motivations are mainly meant to provide a bit of flavor. Most of them will involve trading something for a morale boost.

"Why do you need the money?"
"To help a desperate friend or family member." will give you a Morale penalty until you've paid off your friends debt. Then the penalty will turn into a permanent bonus.
"To live a life of luxury." will give you a temporary Morale bonus when you buy something useless and expensive.
"I don't. I just like showing off." will give you a Morale bonus as long as you keep lewding it up on cam.
The one I've implemented is a slight exception, in that the reward is something other than Morale, and that the acquisition method is slightly more fluff-heavy. It's still mechanically simple though.

It seems like the game has a lot to offer within its given genre, but... I can't make heads or tails or what I'm actually meant to be doing. Probably because it's only like 30% translated to English.

The ones in your party select will transform if you place them in your party and level them up. I'm not sure if the non-generic item girls do anything special, but the only use for them that I found was selling them.

I don't think FC should properly be classified as a training game at all, personally. Its training elements are very light, to the extent that they can be easilly automated between girls. Jack o Nine is a training game, through and through.

If I had to classify FC, I'd say it's closer to a strategy / city-building game at this point, where the slave events are flavor. In fact the interaction with the slaves is not personal (they have no independent personalities) as it would be in a VN or dating / waifu simulator, and it is not basically about training, either.

I'm trying to think what the slave-related gameplay reminds me of, mostly. You essentially just customize your slaves. Beyond that putting them to work is using them like units in any strategy game, except that instead of builders and merchants you get whores and public sluts.

There isn't much of a point to anything in FC. The holes for isntance don't have any special functionality to them that make them integral in some strategic way. They are just detailed flavor. I think that's what I like in FC. It's sandboxy in this respect. There is no strategic point to most of anything.

I think that in conclusion it's a customization game. You customize your slaves, then you customize your city.
