I really like TF/TG/MC stuff so twinning was a logical progression. I think there's just something about having a defined character and having someone else become that character that's pretty hot I think knowing the end state helps their be sort of a climactic moment where their mind breaks or whatever. Zofas fall under something called Assimilation which has some overlap with Twinning definitely. I feel the primary difference is the former is based around Drones and conformity, while the latter is about forcibly spreading the individual. That's why twinning is usually done with specific characters.
