Personally, I've used a lockable filing cabinet for that purpose. It's overtly boring enough that no one will question why you have and use it, while also being secure enough to dissuade casual discovery. It can also be as organized as you like, depending on your budget; there's all kinds of convenient accessory racks you can use to sort your stuff.
