OP Here, wanted to mention one thing.

Since it's inevitable that they will be posted in this thread... images where foreskin is pulled back extremely far and not visibly connected to the frenulum by a piece of skin (pic related) are considered ambiguous.

These types of pics are welcome because it's not immediately obvious as to whether or not they are circumcised or just have very unusual foreskin, and in previous threads people have debated and complained about it.

So, rule of thumb, if there's no piece of skin connecting the foreskin to just under the head of the dick: then it's considered circumcised for the context of this thread.

I was circumcised as a baby and never thought anything of it. It doesn't hinder my ability to orgasm at all: I have to fap two-handed and get direct friction with the skin, but that works fine and I've never had a problem with it.

Then I grew up and heard all these people going on about how infant circumcision is unethical, how unjust it is that female circumcision is abhorred but male circumcision is accepted, how under normal conditions its medical benefits are virtually nil, etc. It made me feel conflicted to say the least.

The thing is that you wouldn't know how the circumcision effected you in the long run becuase you have no direct comparison. I'm the same way, I don't feel disenfranchised in any way because it was done directly after I was born; however the literature on the subject says otherwise.

While the kid will never really notice because they have no comparison, it has been shown to lead to reduced sensitivity in general, less pleasure during sex and masturbation, and there's also some research that shows that it causes lasting trauma in infants that follows them through their entire lives. That, and if you look at most of the pro-circumcision research, most of it is based on bad science and is completley invalidated upon any close inspection on the methodology used in the studies.

There are almost absolutley no medical benefits to being circumcised. The only benefits are it makes it ever so slightly easier to clean your dick, which should never be an issue, and you can't get phimosis.

So yea, it is kind of unethical and barbaric, but if you're already cut then don't worry about it. Being self conscious about it isn't going to do you any favors. Just don't do it to your kids, if you choose to have any, and discourage others from doing it to their children and support legislation against it.

If you do need an ego booster though, just keep in mind that most people don't care whether or not their partner's dick is cut or uncut, and will actively prefer the ascetic of whatever kind of dick you have. IE, if you're cut your partner will tend to prefer the look of an cut dick, and if you're uncut your partner will tend to prefer the look of an uncut dick.

I might look into restoring, I've heard some promising results in terms of sensitivity.

I just hope that medical science will become advanced enough in the next 20 or 30 years to allow circumcised men to fully restore the damage.

I've tried restoring with manual tugging with a device for about a month and it made me horribly depressed. all I could think about is how I was mutilated at birth and now I'm sitting here hopelessly yanking on my dick like a desperate fool. not to mention it takes multiple years to see good results.

These threads tend to be nothing but trollbait where emotions run high, but I'm glad to see there's some levelheaded discussion. Personally, I'm unhappy that I'm circumcised, but at least my wife prefers the look of circumcised penises. If we have a son, we won't circumcise his penis because we think it's unethical.
What sucks about being circumcised as an infant is that it leaves you feeling betrayed by your parents, and were mutilated without a choice. Even if the foreskin served no utility it wouldn't be right, but because it does it feels even worse. I'd say it'd be akin to having the last digit of your little finger cut off as an infant. It might not affect your daily life, but you'll never know what it's like to fully grip something, and you're marked for the rest of your life.

That's really only on /b/. Basically everyone who was cut as an infant knows it's horrible and wants some kind of restoration answer so they can finally join the rest of the world in having a normal dick.
