Depends on the fetish. VR is capable of making fairly accurate 3D images that you can walk around and inspect, and with the life's controls even interact with to a limited extent. I've got a vive. I checked out custom maid 2, which is basically just a bunch of 3D assets you can use to make scenes.

One of the pre-made scenes is a full sex scene (BJ, cowgirl, etc). You can move the camera to be in the POV of the guy, and it's actually pretty great. It feels like the girl is right up against you. Plus it's programmed so she looks you in the eye, which adds a ton of thrill to it. It definitely feels closer to real life than anything else I've experienced. But it's also very frustrating being so close, but not being able to touch.

So yes, I think we're getting closer to our fantasies. It's just a matter of time before the niche fetishes start getting included. I don't think it'll be long. There are all kinds of weird fetish mods for games like Skyrim. Making similar stuff for VR shouldn't be much more difficult once the tools are available.

But I think we're a ways off from something that is completely satisfying.

...I mean, there's a number of porn experiences that would work great with the current gen, but it's mostly limited to looking/touching, and not being touched.

In my totally non-academic experience, you need full body control of your avatar to really feel like it's your body, and that kind of mocap is not currently available at the consumer level. I mean yeah, if you line your body up with your ingame avatar you'll have moments where you feel like it could be your body, but we're talking like, seconds. Even the thought of leaning over to look around shatters the illusion.

You could do a futa simulator where you can fondle their breasts or jack them off, but IMO getting fucked by one is something that you'll have to wait until the next hardware gen at minimum (unless companies like prioVR, sixense, and noitom can get their shit together).

Personally i dont get anything out of it if I dont get any physical response. If some VR Game came out with absolutely intense models, slider, and animations, where I could put values to 300% normal stuff and itd take it fine, then Id be on board, or at least more porn games with actual Gameplay to them

Rift is $600, Vive is $800.

basically, if you're impatient for motion controls and don't mind something a bit rough around the edges get a Vive, but if you want the better overall product and don't mind waiting a few months for Oculus Touch then go for that.

by the way, this is technically furshit, but r2ck is going to have rift support.
