So lemme explain myself. No it's not some misplaced sense of guilt and shame. If anything the reason I don't do more fucked up stuff is because of the guilt and shame of liking super fucked up stuff in the first place. But I digress.

Well, I always felt that an affair was more or less synonymous with cheating - and it's that general idea that I made these images to. So even though the second image is not implicit with cheating, the first image is and informs the second.

As far as the writing goes - yeah I kinda dropped the ball on the last one. For the first two images I wrote the text to the image, so they worked well. And I know it worked well. But for the last one I had finished the image, and sat there for two hours scratching my head with nothing to show for it. So I doop-de-dapped the keyboard and forced these words out like a frozen yogurt machine does with vaguely cream flavored material. And I knew it wasn't good. Deep down inside I guess I knew it was the "safe" way to play the game where it's just... what it says. I know it's not good, and on some level I'm sort of glad people are calling me out on it because it shows that you care on some level and are paying active attention to my work.

Oh yeah, for comparison, I spend about an hour or two writing those tiny ass paragraphs. I'm very self conscious about my ability to write and I revise revise revise. As I said, I didn't actually expect you to be trying to spite anyone, and I mostly made that post hoping you'd chime in and clarify why it was how it was. I'm a big fan of your work, and although I haven't commissioned anything from you, you're one of the few artists I've actually bought things from and make an effort not to post any of that stuff anywhere. I made that post right after I saw that image, as I was just feeling really disappointed over how the series concluded. It wasn't even for the whole husband bit; it was how it seemed to be saying it was a happily-ever-after because she never grew again.

As for the whole "affair" bit, I always took it to mean "having sex without really being in a romantic relationship and not being very open about it." Like, a rich, unmarried businessman could be having an affair with his secretary, and he tries to keep it from being common knowledge for his own dignity. Or, I would consider the woman from Dream Thrush 2 to be having an affair with all those co-workers, at least up to the point she stops caring about their names and is getting openly fondled at the workplace.

I've come to the sense that there's so many different people and tastes out there, and there's no point to being absolutist. I'm just going to do what I'm going to do. I like stories, because they offer me the ability to conjure my own imagery. They hit me in a way images can't or seldomly do.

Lastly, I write because I'm going for a general idea. I could spend another 20 hours drawing pages and pages of material. I'd love to, too. If I had the time in my life to do so. So writing lets me get the material I to make done and uploaded, for free to you. I should mention that when I find written content I like, I really like it, more so than full comics, usually. I just prefer comics in general because they tend to cut the bullshit and get to the point.

It also doesn't help that, in a comic, it's easy to preview it and see if you'll like it or not, and it's easy to skim and get to the parts you want to see. With a purely written story, though, it's always a big gamble whether you'll like it or not, and the time investment is almost always longer than reading a comic.
