I speak Russian. From what I read on the forum linked in the initial Albedo post on TFGS, Albedo's original dev stopped working on the game a while back. Other forum users added/reworked content in what were essentially their own mods, which is how we have version 0.82. I would not hold out hope for more active development - the threads with (now dead) download links were started in 2014.

While I technically could contribute to fixing the machine translation, the main issue for me personally is the game-to-porn ratio (which is also my problem with a lot of RPG Maker games). If I can't get to the /d/ content with an hour of gameplay, the game is going into the trash. Finding motivation to WORK on something like that is even harder.

So I played more of this game and the way its set up is really neat, but the game itself is pretty junk. All you can do is mash the attack button or heal. Defense doesn't really do anything until the last area because before then enemies don't announce their instant-kill attacks. Also it's really easy to just instantly die because the game is hardcore about managing your HP potions but you can get critical hit for 80+ damage at any time. When you die you lose 10 turns on the map, making most of them totally unwinnable if you die once. Examining a space takes 1 turn and entering a battle even if you run/win takes an extra turn so you can easily get unlucky and just lose the game. Needing to examine the map is extra junk because most of the objectives are totally invisible.

If you like really huge boobs and dick bulges it's got a good amount of that, but the descriptions aren't anything special. I can't read the japanese, but all the scenes for a body part are close enough that I'm pretty sure its just one generic scene. But since each map is incredibly grindy and luck-based all the expansion stuff is spaced really far apart. Oh, also you get to change the queen at the end of every quest you win and the PC every quest you lose, but again win or lose each map takes forever.

Actually, I found that issue a bit problematic myself. So as we speak I'm uploading a patch which reduces the sheer grind factor.

Specifically, daily, repetitive spell grinding actions now yield double the rate of learning (no more 30 days of meditating to learn 3 spells). I also greatly reduced the corruption barriers of entry to certain game content. Upload should be done in 10 mins or so.

Here's the minipatched version. Includes
- Nanosuit ammunition is now purchasable.
- All grinding-related actions to learn spells should now take half the time.
- Unlocked some content normally locked out by (in my opinion) ridiculously low corruption requirements (now lets you safely have up to 990 corruption before lockout.)
- Translated the starting character selection properly
- Removed a lot of the junk images, reducing game size to ~1/3rd the original.

That doesn't really change how the game is built, though. Corruption of Champions, Fleshcult, and Free Cities (to name a few of the games I've enjoyed) all expose the player to their "porn" content almost immediately. Most of the /d/ RPGs, on the other hand, seem to be built on the assumption that the player needs to work for /d/ content, and just finding it is the reward - when there's actually no guarantee a given player will enjoy the specific flavor of /d/ content the game has locked behind hours of "regular" content.

I suppose "instant" versus "delayed" gratification is a matter of preference, much like various "regular" game genres are.

It takes on average ten days to learn a new spell. That means repeating the same actions over and over for ten days. And that's for one spell, when there are 20+ spells in the game, I think. It's not like any unique or random events happen during these learning actions, or like they're supposed to be a barrier to entry (10 events, each being expensive). It's just a grind for grind's sake.

If I decided to create my own version, I would:
Clean up the text, prettify the pics a bit so that some of the buildings don't look quite so run down, change some cultural references, fill it full of azns (or burgers) instead of russkies, remove any and all references to bestiality (I don't want to encourage the spread of RL pics of that nature for moral/personal reasons, even if it's optional in-game), and tone down the "random public blowjobs in broad daylight" content.

I'd also change some other things, but that's general quality of life stuff that I think should be added to any version.

I know FCdev has been planning this forever, but ever since the weather-effects were added I've been wondering about this.

There are week-long, torrential acid rains, record-setting tornadoes, and enormous lightning storms all over the world. Most governments have collapsed, or are so ineffective so as to be barely better. Most military forces are so weak that your Free City, if you want it to, becomes one of the strongest in the world given ~2 years.

I honestly don't know what could push you out of your city, much less why you would leave voluntarily. It's practically a deathworld by the end of the game, how would you even survive out there?

To join the order you need 10 or 15 magery. Can't remember which, but you can raise it by getting raped by monsters in the forest (except the shapeshifter/shadow thing, which drains it), or by buying magery books.

I can't remember the name. But there are only like 2-3 boss demons, so it's not like you'll miss it. Just save before every boss and lose. (Most have content for losing anyways, like becoming a demon, so you should try losing to them just to see)

I prefer the books myself. You train skills at times of day when everything is closed, so you won't waste time just sitting around when you aren't tired. You also have to buy 10 books to unlock spellbooks at the bookshop anyway.

Also save frequently in the forest. I cannot underestimate how dangerous those shadow/shapeshifters are, as they can wipe out multiple levels of magery at once if they beat you.

So I'm in the Labyrinth, having cheesed Vapula with about a dozen potions of full-heal, and I only have one question: how do I buff my damage? Lightning wizard with 400 Int and 22 Magery if that matters.

Literally everything has a physical shield of at least 5000, and the mana to refresh it several times. Through Mirror spam and Spherical Protection I'm keeping up with their damage long enough to blast them with lightning, but Werewolves are literally invincible, and the lightning witch wrecks me every time.

I've noted that every spell seems to grow more powerful the more often you use it, but it's a very slow, very linear growth. For example, though I have used Triple Digit over 200 times, at least, the damage only has a cap of about 1200 now, and the minimum of ~600 has only risen to ~680, if that's not just my imagination.

Since Int doesn't seem to affect damage, only total MP, Willpower only affects Reason (whatever that does), and it doesn't seem possible to raise other stats (though my Str rose to 60 somehow), how do I catch up to the obscene HP, damage, and shields my opposition is putting out? Is the only answer "grind"?

Nevermind, just checked the code. There is literally is no way to increase the damage but grinding the spell over and over. Only stat that factors into damage is Strength, and of those attacks only Fist of Thunder is worth grinding.

Once you specialize, you can't learn anything from other schools, as far as I know. There's something in the code about elf-magic you can use, but it's useful mainly for its defensive properties and I can't figure out how to get it anyways.

As for the other schools they don't have better damage, every school has at best a spell that does 3000+spellEXP to 4000+spellEXP*2

You're talking about the bookshop in the fishing village right? I've been in that shop several times and bought all the books they had, then went back multiple more times to buy more skillbooks until I reached 400 Int. I've never seen a spellbook for sale, or anything like it.

Oh, crap, I forgot to mention that in the patch notes.

The patch also makes it so you can get completion credit for that quest without killing Dominica. If you're using the most recent version >>6795068 you should be able to talk to the Dean a 2nd time immediately after you get the kill-Dominica quest and he'll think she's already dead.

Yeah, it's a bit cheaty, but I'm not a fan of locking players out of content without warning (or alternatively, putting the entire Order storyline on hold for the ~100 days it takes to learn all Dominica's spells).

About visual novel, I don't think there are so many /d/ visual novel which are translated. I do know several but most are untranslated or contain an unsatisfying amount of content. By that I mean 1 scene with tentacle isn't a /d/ VN.

Has anyone played Era Tohou Reverse?

It's a Japanese text game where you're trained by one of the girls from the Tohou series, although you can make the "You" the trainer and train a girl instead, or simply pick two girls and play as a "voyeur" instead.

I think it has a very cool system and I'm sad I've never seen anything like it in English. Basically, the Dom randomly selects actions to subject the Sub to, and the player decides how the Sub responds. Various status go up and down, repeat until the Sub is exhausted.

Then it goes to a sort of management-hub where the player decides how the Dom spends their resources; upgrading their magic, buying bondage gear for more scenes, etc. The point is mostly to explore all the scenes, but some of the girls are written to have actual arcs / endings when you hit certain time or stat thresholds.

Anyway, I thought it would be fun to make a similar game (not Tohou themed, I've never played the actual series), so I thought I'd ask if anyone else had played it and if so, what they'd thought of it.

Me and... mostly me I guess has been complaining for several days about the lack of variety in erotic games. Someone even tried to announce he was making yet another slave management game a thread or two back, if it isn't over-saturated I don't know what the word saturated even means. In reply to your second post, I will just say this:
There is a very, very good reason to do it this way and it's not a "we promise not to enforce it", it's a "there is another paragraph saying that entire penal code does not apply to anyone too young".
It does make a lot of sense and enables one to apply the law in a consistent manner (i.e. the structure is the same for mentally impaired and children).
And whether they gut drunk or high on purpose or not is only important when they planned to get drunk or high in order to get away with a crime, otherwise it's completely irrelevant and it really should be that way.
Now that's not really an attack on you, or at least I don't mean it that way, it's rather something one can observe all the time, but I still don't understand why people with no legal training think they know how the legal system should be structured. You don't tell a doctor or an engineer how to do his job either.
I can understand when people talk about what should and shouldn't be illegal, but leave the technical stuff to the professionals or we'll end up with a huge mess of a legal system.

But in my country we have what I think is a rather sensible approach to all of it (Germany).
The problem is you can't reasonably check how mature and thus able to give consent each person individually is, so you need to set one law applying to all.
