See, I've had that happen a bunch of times. The idea is you're not looking for that one chick that sees life like a movie and they are just waiting for that one guy to come along and fix all their problems. For another perspective, I've done similar things as to that anon, but with less disregard for the woman's well being. One school of thought would be to leave it as simply a sweaty smell and leave the rest up to the imagination of the reader.
I'm a foot fetishist myself, so I can't speak for all of the smellfags here, but I've noticed that footfags have a wide variety of preferences re: foot odor. Some don't like it at all, some like the "vinegary" odor, some prefer the "cheesy" or "popcorn" odors to "vinegary," etc.
I've been told before, after writing foot-themed stuff, that my descriptions of the smells were turnoffs to some who prefer different smells, so these days when I write about foot odor I tend to leave the specific qualities of the odor up to the imaginations of my readers unless I'm telling a personal anecdote which actually occurred.
