Easiest way to get started. There are a lot of nuances involved with exactly how someone can be transformed. It can be a lot of fun exploring them.

One thing I love is when someone transforming tries talking and is shocked by a new voice. I love it when a subjects knees come inward as their hips widen.

So, seems that we will have a new season of Samurai Jack.

Like, here's a guy who's for the most part unflappable. He's secure in his money, his identity, everything. Then all of a sudden half his world unravels. The financial situation he had planned for, he can keep his cool then. But the great thing about him losing his gender is that it was a total blind spot. He never even considered such a thing possible or at least happening to him. He's caught 100% flat-footed like he hasn't been in a long time.

It's like they say: you've got to break a character to see what they're made of. You're doing a good job of breaking your protagonist.

Based on my many years jacking off to stories on Fictionmania and TGST, authors apply tons and tons of tags to their stories in order to grab the attention of people who are searching for those tags. It makes it tricky to find what you're looking for sometimes.

Like, I have a thing for french maids, so I often search for stories that involve french maid outfits. And let's say an author on Fictionmania has a part in his story that involves a french maid outfit, but it doesn't occur until part 7 of the story... but he tags every part of the story as "french maid" even though there's only one itty-bitty passage in the story that has french maid stuff in it, and that passage doesn't happen until part 7. That's part of the functionality of Fictionmania, and it happens a lot. TGStorytime is almost worse in this regard because tags always apply to the entire story, no matter how many chapters/sections it has. So whereas FM authors are potentially being actively dishonest about what their individual chapters include, TGST authors don't have a choice. They either tag the entire story as "french maid", or they don't tag it at all and consequently risk losing readership.

The worst part is that neither FM nor TGST have a "report" function that allows readers to call authors out on their bullshit. Every once in a while, the /d/ TG thread fantasizes about starting our own fiction site, and one idea I always bring up is the ability for readers to report/flag stories with inaccurate tags. It's obvious while authors do it (attract more eyeballs by catering to more kinks) but it can be really frustrating for the readers.

Bras do have a standard sizing system, the same way eg. men's jeans do; you're supposed to be able to calculate it from the actual physical measurements. If someone's a 28D it means they're 28 inches around at the underbust and have another 4 inches (because D=4) across the fullest point. A 28J would be 10 inches instead. It's just one more inch per letter. Nobody knows what DD is supposed to be, is it the same size as an E, or a little smaller, or what?

But at least in the US, the sizes for any kind of women's clothes are never consistent in practice. A medium from one manufacturer might be a large from another and an XS from a third. Either you try it on in the store to make sure it fits before you buy it, or you order online and just sort of pick a size that's about right on average and 10-20% of the stuff you buy will be too big or too small when it arrives.

For bras in particular, there's another big complicating factor on top of that: a lot of women are wearing bras that don't actually fit correctly. Someone who's really a 38F can wear a 40E or a 42D, it'll fit over their breasts just fine but won't lay flat against their torso, which means it doesn't distribute the weight properly and will probably leave their shoulders sore at the end of the day.

I don't have direct experience with buying bras at actual brick-and-mortar retail stores like Victoria's Secret, but I've heard that they're a big reason why this happens. There's only so much shelf space, so it's easier to just stock A through D in a range of band sizes instead of trying to have the full spectrum of band and cup sizes available.

But you can go on Amazon and find a decent amount of stuff in the F/G/H range, especially in larger band sizes like would fit a dude's torso -- bigger women tend to also have bigger breasts. They're a little more expensive than the smaller sizes, but not by a lot.

To be fair, it's not just that, but also that in real life naked breasts are a relatively rare occurrence. And imagining how breasts would look when you put clothes on them can be misleading, since different fits can make breasts look bigger or smaller. Also, those breasts are all basically the same shape, but breasts don't always form that nice teardrop shape, so that adds another level of complexity.

Comparing breasts in real life is much more complicated than just lining up people from small to big.

The most common "big" bra size I've seen stocked is a I think a 36D. If you have a small rib circumference and are a D or larger it's basically welcome to hell as far as shopping goes. Very few physical retailers carry DD or larger in small band sizes and most stop at DD for medium to large band size. And whatever's there is shit I wouldn't sell to my grandmother. What is it about guys being mystified by bra sizes?

Somebody said it best above, that bras correspond to physical measurements. The cup is more or less equal to the volume of breast tissue (with some adjustments for proportions) while the number is the measurement of your underbust. It's highly disconcerting to read stories referring to a skinny girl wearing a 40DD, as that would indicate a woman who's 40" around at her rib cage and therefore, fat.

I don't know who else in this thread is a girlfag with big boobs, but they aren't that hard to shop for. I went from a 34D in high school to a 32G after college, and while larger cup sizes are more expensive, they aren't hard to find. Victoria Secrets only goes up to D, and Soma only goes to DD, but all major department stores stock well into the 40G range. Color options are usually more limited, and certain styles, like demi or shelf, can't contain or support that much breast tissue, but they are available. Nordstrom's carries more options, like Freya, which are hella adorable and go up to the G range, I believe. Bras in the DD-plus range are more engineering project than fashion accessories.

I've found that a good mid-bust late 1800s style corset is my best support option, but wearing something like that under normal clothing is a bit unrealistic.

For reference (again, 32G), I'm a standard American size 6 who can normally get away with "small" tops, as long as the fabric is stretchy. Breast size affects the arm hole most significantly, so anything sleeveless is a bit difficult for me, as I get a lot of gapping at the arm hole, which usually shows a good bit of bra. Button down tops, like in school girl outfits, haven't got me right since high school (I was chubbier then). For those, I typically buy a size up, to fit over the bust, and tailor in the sides so it doesn't look like I'm wearing a trash bag.

It's pretty straightforward stuff, really.

Well it comes down to whether or not the writer can pull off a story like that without failing or making it hamfisted. This is good writing 101 and applies to any agenda, lesson, wish fulfillment, etc. I haven't read the story you talked about myself, but from the looks of it the author blatantly tried to push an LGBTetc lesson without actually putting in the effort to make the character relatable to trans people.

I'm far ahead. What I've posted publicly is about half of what I've written. I got a major head start (about 20,000 words) before I posted the first chapter just to make sure I could commit to the full length of the project. So many stories on FM and TGST start off promising and then peter out... I didn't want that to happen to mine.

I dont know if someone has mentioned this one, but Totsuon!: Totsuzen Onnanonko ni Natta no de, Ore no Oppai Monde Mimasen ka? by Nagata Maria is pretty good. It's heavily censored, so it leaves alot to be desired, but it has a great array of different situations. Sadly, not fully translated and probably never will be
