Combos are fine, but you can do the same amount of damage in less time using weapons and nothing but.

Or using other frames' abilities, for that matter.

I'm kinda iffy on the new skin, myself. The pinocchio nose on the helmet is bad enough, but the chunky feet and super poofy skirt kinda ruin it for me.

Honestly, I'm not sure when the last time DE made an alternate (non-palette-swap) skin I liked. Maybe the Nyx one?

I like the new skin, I just think it needs actual heels instead of making her tiptoe everywhere.

I like Valk's alt skin too, there's a strong xenomorph resemblance so that's a new avenue of RP.

Not sure how I feel about the Hysteria rework, though. On the one hand RIP AND TEAR FOREVER in most levels, but on the other hand, she's an energy leech's bitch just like every other frame now, so no more team-reviving berserker angel on high-level infested defense/survival maps.

Hysteria is ... not that bad. I've finally come around to leveling Atlas, and Landslide eats through energy like nothing. I mean, seriously, 25 energy per punch? That's 9 hits, I'm through his (unmodded) 225 energy pool and have beaten up only a medium sized group of enemies (a dozen and a half, maybe). Compare that to abilities like Hysteria or Exalted Blade in terms of energy consumption ... I don't know what they've been thinking there. I'm throwing around energy restores like they're candy with that guy.

Yeah, I already had a RIP AND TEAR FOREVER build pre-new Hysteria--max efficiency and sufficient duration to last me finding more than enough energy to recover. Overall I'm going to call it an improvement because DPS is better thanks to the way it interacts with weapon mods, and Rage is just as useful for undoing the damage of an energy leech/parasite as it was before the rework.

Though Rage can be annoying to get your hands on, so that's a bit of a factor.

At first it was just because I wanted a femframe when I started and, well, that was the only option; and only later did I find out that she was kind of terrible.

After that it was because I didn't want to spend any damn money on the game and I didn't know enough to choose another frame to put in the slots I'd bought with the 50 plat they start you with, so I kept using her anyway.

Then I started getting really good with her and GP still existed so everyone wanted me on their team anyway.

Then GP got kilt and I had to figure out another use for her. And it turns out that there was one.

A shield polarize Mag on a corpus level is essentially the single most godtier frame in the game, even with all the damn nerfs they've been applying to pull; and surprisingly she can more than hold her own in the Void with the right build--I've used my Mag to carry squads through 40-minute T4 survivals. They've just been taking functionality away from her constantly since I joined, and if they keep going like this, even her limited scope to contribute is gonna crack.

After the death of Saryn's nuke and what they've done to Mag since I joined, I have no faith at all that they're going to make Mag any better with the rework they're planning, and a lot of anxiety that they're going to fuck the only thing she's good at.

But yeah. Here's hoping.

Even if I did only start playing this year. I have some irl friends who are somehow still enthusiastic about it, so I can play it with them without feeling too much soul crushing pointlessness, but I've just about dropped it otherwise.

That's not true. Sure, you'd have to learn Parkour2.0 and that, but fortunately Warframe is not a game where character level differences become so huge that you can't play with friends any more just because you took a break of a week. I've been playing since the start of OB, while some of my friends have just started this year. We can play together just fine.

Even with a friend that just started to play this year, he can go pretty well in nightmare misions with the correct weapon mods

For Landslide atlas build you're supposed to stack efficiency, strength doesn't really matter if you're running with a good melee wep (I hit 5-15k per punch at 110% str with an orthos prime) and duration/range don't matter either. Landslide for me uses 6 energy and 1 hits most enemies until around level 40 or so.

I used to be able to do 6840 damage in 0.5 seconds to every enemy in a 47 meter radius at the cost of 25 energy. I could spam that with no effective cooldown. That range gave me the ability to virtually clear an entire level 35 or under def map in a second or less.

But okay. If you say this is faster and affects the whole map, sure. Why not.
