Well, certainly there would be drastic changes to life as it is. I'd think that after the first 'wave' of childbirths, the human population would decline significantly (many dead newborns and mothers). Societies around the world would be reeling, and those who did not suffer loss would be struggling to get by. Here's an alternate scenario that yours inspired that I just came up with.

There are only two genders. Males and cuntboys. Males, being the patriarchal overlords they need to be for this scenario, are first class citizens while cunt boys are second class. However all births are private and thus a person's gender is kept a secret through their life. Alternatively all boys are born male and become cuntboys upon puberty. Either way cuntboys go their entire lives living in secret as they try to blend in with normal males. Upon being found out a cuntboy must legally be impregnated as soon as possible. The man whom impregnates them thus becomes their master and becomes untouchable by anyone else unless the master permits it. Some masters find themselves in a loving traditional relationship with their former best friend whom they were previously unaware was a cunt boy and raise their children together. Some men would instead seek to create a harem of cuntboys by hunting them down and exposing them. Still others do not want the hassle of being responsible for a cuntboy's well being and will simply black mail them for sex. When the cuntboy eventually ends up pregnant he will be forced to hide his growing belly and the resulting child while the man who impregnated him abandons him. Being abandoned means that he's free game as a public breeding too, making hiding his growing belly even more dire. And the man who impregnated him gets off scott free because the cuntboy would be unwilling to out him and thus expose his secret.

Cunt boys have a hard life, but still there are movements that are ongoing to acquire them more rights. After all everybody has a cuntboy mother in this scenario and while some may never get to know him because he is too busy being used as a breeding whore others will be taught love and compassion as parents sometimes do.
