Wakfu is about budget. 1st season : 8M/ 2nd season : 5M ( for this one I think they improved the animation a lot) and the same for the movie...
But Ankama lost many subventions ( fundings) and use crowd-fundings to help them finish the series.

We can say that the thing that makes Wakfu reliable animation speaking is FXs

That is wrong, I don't have the original image/post on the matter. Ankama used the crowd funding to get investors. By showcasing that there was great interest (by people outside of France) they were able to great funding and broader outreach.

Wakfu wouldn't have gone onto Netflix without the Kickstarter. As the funding they received did (in part, you have to remember that rewards are more expensive than people realise) help pay for the English dub. As horrible as it is.
