Steven Spielberg needs to get back into animation. I know he had nothing to do with Prince of Egypt (did he?) but it was made around the time when Dreamworks was still a partnership between him and Katzenberg, and Animaniacs was still fresh in everyone's memory.

Was Boss Baby actually decent, or at least entertaining for kids?

I ask because when it was out, we had a movie outing at my workplace and we gave the kids the choice between seeing Boss Baby or the LEGO Batman Movie, and all but four of them chose to see Boss Baby. I was expecting them to complain that it wasn't that good afterwards, but they all seemed to enjoy it.

I still haven't seen it, so am I just judging it by the stupidity of the premise and the score of terrible Baby Genius movies from the 90's?

Worked as an usher while it was in theatres. Saw like five minutes of it between cleaning screens. What I saw was moderately funny. Got a chuckle out of me at least.
