I'm from Spain, and I'm thinking about just importing the comic since I hate how they translated Gwen's hero name. It's true that they always translate Deadpool as Masacre in the comics, but for Gwen it just doesn't make sense with how she got the name and her costume.

Would you do the same or am I just being autistic?

I've read the first 12, didn't find it bad but I haven't reached the part everyone says the quality severely dips.
It's nothing great either, it was definitely way overhyped by its fans back when it started and by media in general, but it's still leagues above most new heroes and legacies Marvel tried to launch in the past few years.

I like Kate Bishop, the problem is that she becoming the new Hawkeye was forced and unnecessary, just reeks of publicity stunt and agenda pushing, not a creator decision. Kate was always one of the best parts of the new Hawkeye book, but that doesn't mean she should literally be Hawkeye.
And the book took a nosedive in quality not long after, which is a problerm because Hawkeye was really good.

It is a shitty translation, if Deadpool is Masacre she should be Gwensacre.
Still have no idea how they would write around the misunderstanding that gets her this name, unles they changed her surname to keep the pun. Which honestly, is what I would do in this situation despite usually being against translations changing names. It is the easiest fix that creates less problems in the long run.

I don't know. From the beginning her genre savviness has been tempered by her, I don't know, tone-deafness? Like she approaches life like she's in a comic book (which she is) but her failure to pay attention to the mood of the work she's in results in her attempts at heroism becoming acts of villainy. It won't happen for a variety of reasons that Evil Gwen lightly touched on. They won't let her do anything that has any effect on the important characters. Being another crazy acquaintance for Miles doesn't affect his stories much. Killing him or otherwise becoming significantly involved with him is beyond Gwen's role as a C list joke character. Bendis, Miles' gatekeeper, can barely remember the characters he creates himself. There's no way he's gonna consistently write Miles with some wacky toonforce Poochie as a gf.

It'd be an interesting tragedy though. Having good chemistry with an important character only for your relationship to be retconned every time it gets too serious. Being Gwen is suffering.

Honestly, while Guruhiru draws her best by far, I would say the bigger threat is someone besides Hastings writing her. I wanted to shoot myself after reading the Champions issues she guest-starred in. And with the exception of the Kitty Pryde gag her appearance in Rocket & Groot was fairly bad too.

Since the book is already very niche, I think either of them stopping working on it would be a fatal blow. And while I agree Hastings is more crucial, most people have a stronger and more immediate reaction to art quality drops, while the effects of a good writter leaving are only really perceived in hindsight after everything has already gone to shit.
