Do I like Adam Strange? Sure. But it's just at the point where everyone is getting adapted into mediocre venues that I basically don't care anymore. It's going to disappoint like everything else. The only good aspect is that you can hope collections get reprinted.

DC recently revealed plans for the show. Krypton is about Superman's grandfather. What happens is that Brainiac, in the present, decides to wipe Kal-El from existence by fucking with the past, so Adam Strange and Hawkgirl team up and follow Brainiac to the past to stop him.

Syfy's 'Krypton' to Introduce Brainiac, Adam Strange and Hawkwoman; DC Comics boss Geoff Johns revealed that the new series will also take place in both the present and past.

>In a surprise twist, Krypton showrunners revealed at Comic-Con that the upcoming Syfy series isn't just a show about the history of Superman's family as was previously announced.

Okay, so it's not merging Rann and Krypton, just Adam Strange travelling back in time to Krypton to help fight Brainiac.

It's bible (over-arching show narrative) is written by David Goyer and it exists because he and the Cereal Lord are butt buddies and because Goyer got Johns his first PA job in Hollywood, which got his fan fiction taken seriously in the comic book industry and which Diane Nelson decided (in addition to those "nifty" scripts he wrote for Smallville) was reason enough to name his COO, so now he gets to prop up people like Goyer, who otherwise couldn't bleed on a studio lot and get taken seriously in 2017.
