~WATCHMEN APPRECIATION THREAD~

I just finished this book yesterday and it was so fucking good. That last fucking page was perfect.
Confession time: I find the motion comics even better than the book.

Nice to know that, I'm on Chapter 3 rn
>>95314557
are they fan made? I've seen them a couple of months ago, if it's fan made, that's some serious impressive work.

And I find the Snyder movie to be the worst. It's not offensively terrible and tbf they did the best they could, but it doesn't hold a candle to the book.

No, it is professional work.

This guy does all the voices: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0824264/
Dr. Manhatten's role in the story and the construction of it, with Ozymandias was particularly brilliant.

Heh, it is far from perfect but I enjoyed the cinematography. Seeing Mars, Dr Manhattan being born, the dream of apocalypse... on screen was worth it imo.

The snyder movie wasn't bad; it just had too much damn action and popular music. It was too snyder-y. Like why the fuck does rorschach know kung fu

>Basic street fighting skills
>kung fu
This isn't Daredevil m8
>>95314684
Even Silk Spectre's? Hmmm...
>>95314727
They were all such well-written characters, but Dr. Manhattan really blew me away.

Rorschach's casting was perfect. I hated how they all had super-strength and how the fighting was so romanticized. I wasn't a fan of the ending as Dr. Manhattan ISN'T A FUCKING "THIRD PARTY."
>>95314803
Yeah, even SS. The guy manages to make it work.
>>95314803
I don't like Rorschach's voice in the movie. The motion comic voices for him and Manhattan are my go to in mind when I read it

I'll have to check it out, then. His actor did look a fuckton like he did in the comics, though (ginger, grimey, 5'6")
