avoid Gold, it is worse than mediocre Kitty Pryde waifushit. It is pretty much a Kitty Pryde solo book.

Give a try to Astonishing (only 3 issues released so far) and the best one.

Blue is ok, but it feels like an Exiles book with a boring team. Their enemies are more interesting than them.

Iceman is OK if you want to read a grounded comming out of the closet story with superpowers, the last 2 issues have been the best ones.

Jean Grey is ok, but every issue has a different guest characters, feels gimicky.

Gen X isnt shit, but it is hard to care about that cast.

Astonishing is the closest to a good book. Everything else is trash to mediocre (aka trash). Marvel will never put strong effort in X-Men ever again cause lol movies. Just consider AvX the finale of the franchise, reread old stories, and accept that the ride is over. You'll have way more fun.

/our guy/ Bunn seems to be making Polaris a more permanent member of the supporting cast and he's done a good job with her.

Astonishing will be only about 1 story during its 12 issues.
The villain is the Shadow King who is trying to attack all the worlds telepaths from the astral plane (he has no physical body)
The first issue was an intro to the problem, and psylocke connecting some characters into the astral plane, in the second issue the characters were divided in groups, (Old Man Logan, Mystique + Fantomex, Rogue + Gambit, Psylocke + Bishop + Archangel outside the astral plane)
it seems like the next issues will what every group is doing.
The last one was about OML, the next one will be about Gambit and Rogue or Mystique and Fantomex.

it is good so far, very classic, as in, it feels like something from before House of M.

Kitty is my waifu but I really hate her in Gold, she's an obnoxious dyke and all the characters are poorly written.
Blue is mediocre, hate the O5 but it's probably the least worst of the current X-books
Jean is decent, just her teaming up with different characters, she's more tolerable then she is in a team.
Gen X is meh, don't really like any of the characters

Uncanny was the only bearable for me, maybe for Bunneto or that X-Force feels to it.
The Apocalypse Wars of the 3 books was absolutely terrible, just an attempt to cash in movie shekels without owning the movie rights.
Still, they were all forgettable.
From the new books, Gold is dull, Blue is decent but the 05 and Jimmy are terrible ideas and are not getting any better and I cannot understand how Astonishing is better than both watching the shitfest Soule did on ANAD

Scott and Beast are the interesting ones of the O5. Jean wasnt interesting until the Phoenix, and Angel wasnt interesting in any way until he became Archangel.

If you are an Iceman fan then it must suck. But there arent many of them.
