There are almost an endless amount of cartoons that are horrible and made by people who don't give a shit. The cartoons that offend me the most are the ones where the people behind them DO care, but are so incompetent that it comes out like dogshit, like Steven Universe. Or nuPPG to an extreme extent.

If a team of people are passionate about a show and try to at least put SOME extra effort into it, even if the show still turns out to be shit, I can still respect the fact that they at least cared.

If a team of people are working on a show that they know is just meant to be a soulless cash grab and don't give a fuck about the show at all, then there's nothing for me to respect.

Do people even hype those that much? I mean, personally I think Sym-Bionic Titan is so excellent that no amount of hype is too much, but I've never heard much praise for the rest. It's basically just that nobody every specifically mentions hating them. Hell, they hardly get mentioned at all.

It's a lot of style with very little substance. The plots are pretty standard stuff, nothing very deep ever happens, it's pretty predictable and it never feels extremely competent, but it's notable for being one of the few action-oriented cartoons for kids in recent years, and also for being 2D animation. The art design and action scenes are pretty excellent. Mark Hamill turns in a great performance as a villain who isn't Joker-esque at all.
