why is it that fire powers are not only the most common power on comics and toons, but also the most desired??? my girlfriend just can't get enough if fire and fire characters (including pic related . Even in Pokémon, kids have always picked fire starters for years.
what is the reason for this?
Because fire is pure destruction.

Its a primal connection to the origin of our civilization.
>>95256195
but earth is pure destruction too, look at Ben Grimm and Toph
Inferior fire cucks everyone knows water will always be better than fire
Go ahead try and prove me wrong
YOU CAN'T
>all these physical element cucks
Darkness will consume you

>darkness
I bet you listen to non-mainstream metal rock music and cut yourself
Fire is dangerous, many people find that alluring in itself. But fire has many properties that make for interesting character traits: it destroys what it touches, yet its power can be harnessed for beneficial uses; fire has explosive, volatile potential, even the tiniest ember can turn into an uncontrollable inferno; many people rely on fire and need it to survive and to keep civilization working, yet it is also a threat that has to be carefully watched.
You apply these kinds of concepts to a character and it makes for an interesting person.
what's your favorite element /co/?
I always though water or electricity had more stuff going on. Just in terms of bullshit I could do in my everyday life.
>Phone's dead. Hold on, I gotta charge it with my mind powers.
>Thirsty? Create water.
>Need money? Part the Red Sea and start a church. Or provide power during a hurricane.

fire just stands out the most and has the coolest visual style
>>95256182
Well in pokemon fire pokemon are always in the late game in terms of capturing,so the headstart is very nice.

fire is a primal element, representing action, strength, and passion
this is a natural fit for the hot blooded, red colored leader
rarely is the cold, blue, analytical person be the leader, which is often the number 2
indeed, ice and cold are often villanous powers in fantasy land, since winter is associated with death
its a shame, because I really prefer
introspective, calm, and gentle leaders over hot blooded ones

>Looks the coolest visually without anything else to spice it up
>Easiest element to imagine being powerful
>Fire is inherently dangerous in real life, therefore control over it is cool
>Fire also has the simplest application, burning stuff
>By its nature untouchable. You can pick up dirt, swim in water, and feel the wind but there is no touching flame without snuffing it or getting burned
Like I'm more an earth guy but its easy to see why fire would be the most popular elemental skill
Fire is one of the most intuitive representations of raw, direct power. It's easy to get a sense for how fire works because it's so readily noticed by the senses, and it leaves a strong impression in visual media.
Also I've never played Pokemon but I was under the impression that in most games there were practical reasons for picking a fire type starter.
