Mr gregs problem is it tried to be too many things at once in way too short a time frame.
It was the musical episode and the [name] city episode and the pearl gets over rose episode and the kino song episode all at once.
The song is god tier though.

I know most people would have gone with Last of the Starmakers, The Tower of Dr. Zalost, The Mask or any of the Katz episodes, and those are top contenders for perfection indeed.

But Car Broke, Phone Yes is pure Courage the Cowardly Dog. The first act has the perfect air of mystery and horror, where everything feels not quite right and it only gets worse as the night progresses. The second act is the action payoff, where Courage gets to save the day against a villain who, if left alone, would have taken over the entire universe, while still getting some laughs in ("Stupid grey matter!").

It genuinely felt more like an alien story than most big budget alien stories have in the past decade or so.

You know, you're right and I never would have thought of it.

I can still remember being glued to this episode as a kid. The mystery of who was under that trench coat mesmerized me. Considering the show has left quite a few mysteries unsolved, I had good reason to worry that there wouldn't be a reveal.

Did this one start out with courage looking at the crazy solar system through a telescope? I love that part. It gives me Voynich Manuscript vibes.
