How does heaven and hell work in the marvel universe?

Standard Marvel afterlife is like Beetlejuice afterlife. Everyone is a skellington that hangs out in Death's universe with dark skies, dead trees, and everything is made out of bones. The skellingtons seem to like it too.

Unless the person believes in some pantheon afterlife then that pantheon's death god gets the person. Like Hades, Hela, etc. Death really does not give a shit where people go or what happens to them in the slightest so she had no fucks when Hades gets souls instead of her.

The hells are various dimensions that demons exist in. It's not really a place of punishment for sinners. But the demons want human souls because that makes the hell lords like Mephisto, Satannish, etc more powerful so they bargain for more people.

Funny fact. in the marvel universe Angels exist, but they are not "sons" of the highest being in the multiverse (like DC/Vertigo), instead Yahweh is treated just like Odin or Zeus

They are not angels that turned bad one day. They are just the magically powerful rulers of their smaller dimensions like the other Skyfathers Odin and Zeus.

It's a comic book, they do this for storytelling purpose, sometimes a character who don't belive will experience an afterlife and vice versa
