Still, you can't ignore his construction is atypical for a SIR unit.Headcanon: Gir, or at least his core hardware, was part of a discontinued group of prototypes that attempted to incorporate new features in the standard SIR design. Decision making, emotional programming, the ability to eat and sustain itself with actual real food.
