Fucking awful obviously lmao. The guy draws the same amorphous fat face on everything, he totally doesn't have the shape of the face handled or understood at all, and he hasn't improved in years and years. The art reminds me of that goblin comic where everyone looks like shit and cries and gets dismembered. It's hilariously awful, very autistic, and really in its own world.

my favorite magic artist. Also possibly my real dad's wife.
Better read in bulk; Jaegers are not as entertaining as they think they are; anyone who complains about the art clearly has never looked at some of the webcomics regularly posted on /co/.

It's much 'better' than so much of the shit out there but it fails in certain critical places, namely in how every face is distorted in the same strange non-human way. It's obviously not the worst but people say the art is shit for a reason.

I think it started out really good, but once Agatha got to Mechanicsburg it lost its way. Supposedly, Phil and Kaja Foglio wrote the story back in the late 90s and have spent the last 17-18 years just drawing what they had already written.
I met Phil Foglio at a convention a couple of years ago and he told me that while he and Kaja knew the comic would take years to finish, he thought they'd have been done with it by now. He also admitted that after they started publishing Girl Genius, they made a change to the story that they later regretted. He didn't elaborate and I didn't ask, but I wonder if it's related to why the comic hasn't ended yet.

The context of the panel was introducing characters with small blurbs
I believe the use of a rubiks cube was meant to be a joke

5 monies says it has to do with Lucrecia or whatever her name was

All I know about it is this one panel and the fact that the couple that make it are notorious swingers.

I don't want to rag on the guy but it's odd that someone who can't draw women's faces made a comic starring a girl.

Imagine a furry porn comic. Now instead of furry porn it's steam punk.
That's Girl Genius. It's essentially a comic that panders to the steampunk subgenre. It's not really a good comic on its own unless you are aware of the trappings of steampunk.

Utter trash that panders to the kind of losers who still care about steampunk.
>SCIENCE!

i only read it out of nostalgia for the old magic card art and phil and dixie
seriously, the story is just dragging on and on and on, and just when it feels like something happened we get an intermission about snails. SNAILS LMAO.

Yeah, I stopped reading at that same point. I just became annoyed with the characters that I previously liked and the story felt that it was pursuing some goal that it had not yet explained.
Anyone kept up with it? Is it good right now?
