The Big Bang Comics on Secret Empire Sales
This store tweets are usually good, but I feel like that's kind of a nothing tweet thread if you've been paying attention to sales. Just obvious what was happening for months now.
Truth of the matter is that it was never a story crafted to be blown up into a big event. It should have been a smaller line-specific story like Standoff. That's on Marvel editorial/marketing more than anyone else.

That goes for what, 80% of event comics?
So what are the lasting effects of SE besides a 2nd Steve? I mean is Vegas/Black Widow/Rick gonna stay dead? Probably not, Sam is returning to Falcon again, Are the people who joined Hydra like Frank, Hank, Deadpool,Thor gonna face some consequences?

Some still have concepts that work when blown up. Honestly I don't know why they didn't push IvX as the big one this year, that kind of large scale conflict across two franchises would have made more sense to be big than just a storyline that was happening in only the Cap solo which wasn't a big seller.

readers knew this, but it's nice to see stores have the same complaints and do it publicly.

Hey now black goliath is still dead
>Make mine marvel
this is real.

He's gonna be in Ant-Man 2 so that might change

They'll probably just give his nephew relevance. If they remember they made his nephew the new goliath that is.
Remember when spencer argued that events boosted sales? His own captain America comics sold for shit during the event.
