I don't usually like to focus when I watch cartoons or TV shows. I like to half-listen to them in the background while I work, browse, or play games. Usually stuff with uncomplicated plots and a lot of music. What are the best series for this?
In my experience, Home Movies is one of the best. I draw comics for a living and can't really work with shows that are visually distracting or intense, but HM you can almost listen to like a podcast.
Similarly, any Adult Swim shows like Sealab that aren't too reliant on visuals. Also Futurama director commentaries

What this guy said, Home Movies is great for listening because about 90% of the comedy is the dialogue. You don't miss much by not watching. Incidentally, it and Metalocalypse were both created by Brendon Small.
In a similar vein, I recommend Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist. It was created by Tom Snyder, who helped Brendon create Home Movies, and it's composed mostly of recycled stand-up material, which is funnier than it sounds.
Those shows are my go-tos when I want to listen to something besides music.
