In the original show kevin appeared twice and had bens powers for some reason,i forgot. He was an asshole and tried to kill ben twice.
But then the other shows came out and he was one of the heroes. I never saw those shows but why did he turn good? Plus,last i remember he was kicked off to space. Which was fucked up because he was still a kid

He was a villain up until the beginning of the second series, Alien Force, where he was still basically pulling alien drug deals until Ben kicked his ass, so he became a sketchy "hero", mostly because Ben bumps shoulders with a lot of aliens and alien tech for him to fuck with/sell.

But over time, they grow a genuine bond and become best friends. Until Kevin tries to absorb the Omnitrix and goes evil. Which happens 3 more times. 4th one was a fakeout, tho.
