I don't know about that, the same production team was also behind Bridesmaids, which is a very solid comedy movie. If the logic was "hey these people are a funny team, they could probably make Ghostbuster work", then I don't have a problem with it.

But as the advertising blitz wore on, they definitely tacked into the wind on the all-women thing. They said "you know what, yes they are all women, and that's a GOOD thing!", rather than just saying "they're the best cast for the roles right now, calm down". What 20's true problem was they didn't have enough material to stretch over 10 episodes. had they ACTUALLY planned out a ten episode story instead of just making an ending and called it planning, even the wrong bet wouldn't have crashed this season.

I watched the movie in theater due to my sister inviting me to watch it. While I don't think the movie was awful, it was pretty bland.

Villain was typical nerd bullied as a kid who wants to destroy humanity, there is a constant need to explain the origin of many things(why do we need to know the origin of the logo?), the trademark capturing beams are downplayed and later replaced for FPS weapons(and a crappy CGI sequence at the end), jokes that are constantly repeated(the wonton joke was awful), continuous nods to the original that made me wonder why it is a reboot rather than a sequel(would have spared us of about many boring parts and would've opened some more interesting subplots like relationships between old and new teams), leads constantly trying to be funny, and most important for me they take an hour to capture a single fucking ghost(which if my memory recalls is the only ghost they capture in the movie) after encountering ghost on two separate occasions.

The only things I truly enjoyed of the movie were Hemsworth and Slimer. And like I said, problem with the movie is that its not bad, its just utter forgettable.

A big part of the laughs I had with South Park was with vou bad the animation was. People flinging cars all around, people flying when punched and so on.
It was kind of a little charm the early seasons had, as bad as they were.
Later seasons got really repetitive in which almost every chapter NEEDED a plot twist with most of them being a character turning to the camera and picking up a phone talking to someone or the repetitive line "you should have stopped asking questions" or its derivatives

Their official reason is something about Trump being a provocateur like themselves and they're not sure they can work with that.

In reality, I think their real reasons are more as follows:
1.) They are just really burned out on politics after the last two seasons. This season is going to be very light on politics for that reason.

2.) Everyone else is going to make Trump jokes, why jump on a crowded bandwagon.

3.) They already made a lot of Trump jokes the last 2 seasons.

4.) Making Garrison their Trump stand-in has caused them to completely write themselves into the mother of all corners. Remember, Trump didn't get elected in the South Park universe. Mr. Garrison did. I'm not even sure how they'll begin to unravel that mess. They don't either. Which is why they'll just try and avoid Trump for at least the next season.

Apparently Tweek and Craig have broken up and will have a custody dispute over the guinea pig they had bought together. Craig even says the guinea pig belongs both him and his ex-boyfriend. Very sad they actually broke up but I trust that they will get together and the break up sort of confirms that they really were together in the first place. The boys vs. girls plot was badly set up. I personally agreed with the girls yet we had to agree with the boys. I mean the girls were victims of a bully and most of the boys would laugh at the bullying and even share the pictures among their friends. Made sense to me that the girls broke up with them. And I disliked what they did with Heidi's character. All season long I though she would turn out to be bitch like in all of her other appearances but they made her a practically brand new character. They should have just gone with a new or more unknown female character for that plot. And nothing she did made much sense either.
