Why do you think we all liked the Magic School Bus as kids? How about Little Bear, 2D Franklin, and early-Arthur? Those cartoons are meant for school children too and yet it the art quality of those shows are pretty impressive and appealing to look because the animators are competent enough to understand that "appeal" is one of the 12 Principles of Animation. It's a shame that children who're very imaginative and creative, who craves for appealing magical adventures has to stomach artistically atrocious shows little Peppa Pig

I was and am still am going to watch it, I love the Magic School Bus, I recently rewatched it and it still hold's up. There is some dated science in the original but besides that it's fun.
I'm not judging it yet, the art unappealing, but I'm hoping it will be good.

I can find things to appreciate in the animation of those shows, like the segmented lineart in Arthur. The old Magic Schoolbus cartoon just looked boring, nobody watched it for the animation.
