Think of your favorite ground level super hero. None of that universe saving, flying through the stratosphere bullshit: just a guy who uses his fists and maybe some powers to stop crime.

He probably does pretty well. His big weakness would be his minor telepathy, which helps him survive in battle but would obviously be a vulnerability against all the mind-blasting horrors.
