I don't understand why people think Goku's so strong in the first place? In part 1, all he really did was beat up a bunch of humans, and got his ass kicked by a good handful of them. In part 2, outside of mooks, the only enemy he beat on his own was Freeza and that was due to pretty much deus ex machina shenanigans, even though Freeza was outclassing him for the entire fight until that moment. It took a combined effort of Yajirobi, Krillin, and Gohan to beat Vegeta, he outright couldn't beat Cell, and admitted to it himself. He would have died along side Vegeta if Mr. Satan wasn't there to convince the Earth to share energy. and Fat Buu was there too.
Even if we include the Super anime, we got Beerus, who Goku was (and still is) outclassed by, needed save scumming to beat Gold Freeza, couldn't even beat Hit when Hit was handicapped massively, and then Black/Fused Zamasu kicked his ass (and it took Future Trunks to land the "killing blow") until Goku used his literal plot device to 404 the alt. universe. 1. He can retreat to Apokalips which exists outside the multiverse. Infinity Gauntlets only work in their home universe. He can proceed to snipe him to death with Omega Effect like he did with the Anti-Monitor in Infinite Crisis.

2. Thanos has a huge inferiority complex and having the Infinity Gauntlet makes it worse, not better. Anti-Life is going to slowly prey on him and Thanos can't wish it away because he denies that he has an inferiority complex in the first place.

3. Darksied's true form spans several universes. So Thanos kills one part. Big deal. The rest suck him into the multiverse killing black hole that is Darkseid

You have to remember the Deathbattle guys are super casuals who don't read comics. They'll read that the Infinity Gauntlet allowed Thanos to punk Eternity level beings and call it a day.
