I agree. The Gwenpool ad is pretty cute, and does a good job of mixing new with old, while explaining to new readers that these are retro ads, and making a joke only older readers would get.

These ads are great and all, but it's one thing to be able to imitate the pulp action and romance of early Marvel and another thing to actually like it, understand why it worked so well to readers, and how to use it. Otherwise this is the same Marvel, with the editors and writing teams save for Simonson, but with a retro skin,

Eh, at this point I think fruit pie jokes are almost obligatory. It's almost on the level of having Stan cameo in adaptions. I'll agree that the delivery wasn't great, but the idea of an ad featuring Gwen mentioning the light, tender crust and real fruit filling of mouthwatering fruit pies is solid.
