WHERE IS THE LOST STARS MANGA UPDATE?!

So is there really a mod that's a regular on /swco/?

I know we all like to meme and have fun, but we all know, deep down, that there's only one true, original, and most high star wars waifu.

that thread was made by the French rey/porg spammer to troll us with his inane perversions, and he couldn't even get the thread title correct

Just a friendly reminder to everyone that Lost Stars updates on the first and third (1st and 3rd) Thursdays of every month. Last week was the last thursday of the month, aka the 5th thursday. This coming thursday is the 1st. Relax. Y
the twi'lek master races have picked this thread as the true thread death to the other one.
>>95126094Jyn/Bor GulletThe idea is basically an inception-style porno-within-a-porno: Bor uses his manly tentacles all over Jyn's tight body, whilst using his mind-powers to dig up the memories of her entire sexual history. It's very avant-garde.

Anything starring Sabine's voice actress.
>>95126198
I'm not sure if I'll be able to make next thread as well, I'll try to remember it if possible but I hope someone else will take up the OP mantle.
In the meantime, in order to foster a greater degree of meaningful Star Wars discussion, I'm going to make a post about every single named notable vehicle from Star Wars canon, in order of appearance.
The Consular Frigate is a neat little ship with similar aesthetics to the Tantive IV. I don't like the full-maroon unarmed Republic diplomat version as much as the significantly cooler TCW refit though.
>>95126094
Poor Little Chiss.

thank you ISB
For the longest time I wasn't aware that the Lucrehulks (punny name: "filthy lucre" means ill-gotten money) were actually simply oddly shaped battleships, but their grasping greedy "arms" are genius design. Not my favorite separatist ship though, but good allusion to the death star.
>>95126094
>>95126333
Also Poor Little Kallus, where Zeb, Kanan and others 'welcome agent Kallus to the rebellion."
>>95126383
>original, creative designs in Star Wars
I almost forgot about them.
why are female Jedis so?
>>95126383
Those always struck me more as round Star Destroyers. Never got the Death Star analogy there.
I was always intrigued by the beetle-y design of Trade Federation armor, and the MTT is super cool the way it transports battledroids around. Note also the tiny little repulsor sleds carrying a detached MTT battle droid rack.
I won't be discussing droid tanks, walkers or starfighters as vehicles because they are not, strictly speaking, piloted.
>>95126457
I honestly hate these things and they never felt like they were in the same universe
>>95126457
>Huge open fields
>Make sure we march single file, to hide our numbers!
The Trade Federation landers were a very interesting type of ship though they always struck me as hard to land. Disappointed they only showed up a few times in TCW and only very late in the series at that.
>>95126419
Genuine question: If Jedi aren't allowed to have emotional connections how do they breed? Do they have casual sex? Or does the Force randomly pop up in people despite the whole Skywalker thing showing it's a genetic thing?
>>95126304
>fridge
>>95126507
new Jedi are chosen.
>>95126507
They don't necessarily breed. The corrupt council can let some select Jedi breed with a harem of their own, but aside from them, no sex is necessary. They may use courtesans to sate their needs.
I always loved the AAT tank, for some reason it reminds me of the M48 Patton. I recently bought a vintage titanium series die cast miniature of it from a comic convention in Pittsburgh.
>>95126026
Man,I hate Leia so much. Rey is way better.
>>95126546
t. Anakin
>>95126383
I enjoyed how Catalyst mentioned the Death Star is sort of based on the shape of a Lucrehulk Core ship.
>>95126430
It's the Core ship in the center. The size, color and the dish alluded to the Death Star.
the STAP is essentially a speeder bike, but ridden like a Segway, seems very uncomfortable to me, but definitely original
>>95126507
Casual sex.
>>95126507
Force sensitivity is a genetic aberration. referencing old EU here at my own peril, but the Dorsk series of clones didn't have a force sensitive in it until the 81st generation.
>>95126571
t. Ki-Adi-Mundi
Sheathipede shuttles exude the same insectoid appearance as a lot of the Trade Fed designs, but I find them lacking something. Even the Ghost crew's modification doesn't really do it for me.
Back to the basics. Who likes Reylo?
Did this happen to you /swco/?
>>95126617
I think it is the midsection that is less armored
I never really liked submersibles in real world or in fiction, and the Bongo is even less attractive than Nemo's Nautilus, but you have to admit it's method of propulsion is novel
What will be your reaction when Reylo will become Canon?
>>95126619
I do
I never really liked the first Naboo starship, I far prefer the other types we see in later media, but it's good that they showed the art-deco style glitz and glamor of the pre-empire galaxy
>>95126670
Great! Here,get a Porg!
>>95126657
>>95126619
Rey love to get blacked, now fuck off
>>95126657
>>95126632
>>95126619
Who would hate the ST this much to spam this all day, every day?
>>95126507
It's genetic and random. If a Jedi were to breed one of it's 2 kids might have force sensitivity. However if the Chosen One breeds his kids will definitely have force sensitivity. Then if normal people breed there's a sort of 1 in 5000 chance that they will be at least somewhat force sensitive like Han or Chirrut and an even smaller chance that they will be as sensitive as a Jedi. The really sensitive ones normally show signs early on like lifting things with their mind as babies in which case the parents can contact the Jedi for their child to be trained. Then if that kid ever wants to leave they're free to do so at any time.
>>95126602
Let's focus on the real discussion
>>95126683
best Naboo ship.
>>95126713
What about the droid attack on the wookies??
>>95126687
No she doesn't,she would rather get Gunganed than that. Kylo'd is still normal!
>>95126713
You think he has a harem of wookies?Damn, that came out of left field. Ignore my bull.
>>95126507
>If Jedi aren't allowed to have emotional connections how do they breed?
They don't.
>Or does the Force randomly pop up in people
Force sensitivity does, yes. Though it can be passed down genetically. Every member of the Jedi Order is indoctrinated, they don't procreate. Mind you, up until the Clone War, the Jedi Order was very highly regarded. So sending your kid to be one of them was likely seen as an honor. And the Jedi indoctrinated their members likely as a gesture of trust to the citizens of the Republic, to show that those who were keeping the Republic's peace were citizens of the Republic themselves (excluding a very small minority of individuals like Anakin, who was born outside of the Republic's borders).
Technically a vehicle, the mechno-chair is a chair that walks for you. How aren't the Neimoidians fat?
>>95126693

So, /swco/, who is your favorite Jedi?
>>95126702

This guy.
The Gozanti cruiser is a pleasant enough little star-brick, that actually first appears in the background skies of Mos Espa as Qui-Gon et al exit the Queen's ship on Tatooine. Personally I prefer the Imperial refit from Rebels.
>>95126728
Rey not being flat, now I know your shitposting.
>>95126768
It was implied that giving up force sensitive children was compulsory in TPM.
"If he was born in the Republic we would have found him early on" or some such.
>>95126748

>>95126716
>Comfiest
The N1 just wins out for me for being a fighter, but imagine filling one of those cruisers with bombs, fitting a bunch of turrets and going on a long range run with a bunch of others to kill some seperatist ships
>>95126812
Stop! Now!!!! Rey was already Kylo'd.
>>95126804
man, I love this ship.
>>95126748
Can we ban this Rey faggot already, he is just as bad as that 7th sister poster
To be brutally honest, I never liked any of the podracers I've ever seen. I like the idea of the Ben-Hur chariot race in space, but aesthetically, that idea never sat well with me, and I found the cockpits frighteningly exposed. I always favored every other type of vehicle to these things. What's worse I always found it difficult to distinguish whose ship belonged to who aside from Sebulba and Anakinand Maggie Gyllenhaal
>>95126116
Mara Jade
Reylo is love. Reylo is life.
>>95126154

>>95126856
Stop replying to him! Ignore him,he will get bored.
>>95126834
>Stop! Now!!!! Rey was already Kylo'd.
Kylo is cuck by Finn
(I know I should stop but it's fun triggering him)
I used to dislike the Scimitar, but when I saw it used in the Battlefront 2 Starfighter Assault promo a few weeks ago I thought "omg this thing is perfectly villainous" and it transitions well into the TIEs, especially the Inquisitor TIEs from Rebels.
>>95126767
Reylo can bring you love and peace. The Sequel Trilogy has something better than the OT and PT,it has love...Reylo love.
>>95126746
Perhaps the nemoidians don't get fat
young Anakin, no one can kill a Jedi.
Darth vader, hold my beer kid.
I always thought (and still do) that Maul's speeder bike looked very stupid, like a doughnut with a bite taken out of it, but it does look like it's probably pretty comfortable.
>>95126768
Probably. Parents don't have to give their children away if they don't want to.
>>95126816
It isn't required. At any time a Jedi can leave the Order if they wish which heavily implies that parents aren't forced to give their kids away. It's just very unlikely that a parent wouldn't want their kid to be a Jedi though.
>waifufaggots have taken over
ISB where are you?
>>95126804
oh this reminds me of the episode it was featured in, I really liked seeing a CIS planet where people went about their business and battle droids were there as security, and got me thinking
are there any star wars books/comics that are from the CIS point of view? battling *ALONGSIDE* battle droids instead of against them?
The airships of Coruscant look marvelously stereotypically art-deco retro-futurist, like mid-century Popular Science "city of the future" public transportation.
>>95126915
No.
>>95126767
Either Luke or Anakin. Skywalkers are my weakness.
do you guy's use star wars mods on your games, if yes what one's?
>>95126767

>>95126767

>>95126072
Why are people acting as if this is any more ridicolous than the death star? It's certainly far less stupid than starkiller base too.
>>95127058
Filoni pls leave
The Flash Speeder is rather luxurious for what amounts to a Technical.
>>95127070
whoops forgot my pic
>>95127015
The CIS doesn't fight alongside their battle droids because the reason for the battle droids in the first place is to fight so that the cowardly separatists do not have to.
post your shipfu
>>95127097
space Technical
10/10 anon
>>95127084
Honestly, it's clicking with me for some reason. I'm a sucker for giant wing craft.
Why do people hate Reylo so much?
I always felt the Gian speeder was the uglier of the Naboo police cruisers. And how do you pronounce that anyway? "Guy-ann"? "Jee-ahn"?
>>95127070
I always figured they had droids to do most of the fighting and only bring in real people when it was really needed and they couldn't leave it up to a mass droid attack (but still have the mass droid attack back them up) or if a CIS planet was invaded the planets military fight along side droids, think like Umbara but with droids too (would have been cool to see)
I came to think of that since in that ep where they sneak into that CIS planet the senetor mentions her husband was stationed at a base and was killed by clones during a raid
so yea now I want a story from a CIS point of view, people fighting along side droids, maybe to repel a republic attack, that would be pretty cool
>>95127112
As per usual
>>95127084
>>95127129
No clue, I like it
Feels a bit oversized as is though
I away love this ship.
>>95126981
Unlikely? It certainly wouldnt be an easy choice if you fully understood the ramifications of it.
The kid will be taught to have no emotional connections, and would likely be prevented or heavily discouraged from ever seeing you again. When his training is done he'd probably look straight through you.
Again, not a huge fan of Nubian ships, but the Naboo Starfighter is definitely a positive addition to the Star Wars franchise and scifi in general with its originality.
>>95127145
We hate that there's one guy spamming it endlessly for months on end rather than the inherent quality of the ship itself.
>>95126768
>>95126981
They can, as a matter of fact. Bardotta strictly opposed the the Jedi indoctrinating their own into the Jedi Order. Even until the Clone War they viewed the Jedi people who tried to steal their children.
Though it's easy to see why they'd come to be against indoctrination since the Force is a very big part of Bardottan culture and all their cultural/political leaders are Force Sensitive.
Also, stop saying 'Jedis'. It's 'Jedi'.
>>95126072
This makes perfect sense though. It's their headquarters. ALL First Order is concentrated there, and it's confirmed that they go there in TLJ: it sets up interesting things appearing in IX
>>95127097
What about the Umbarans and Geonosians?
As far as I'm aware this is the last vehicle of any prominence in The Phantom Menace, a Republic shuttle that always gave me the impression of the GR75 Rebel Transport. Not sure if it was ever named, it didn't appear in any reference book I had and I'm not bothering with wookieepedia for verification. I like it better than the Consular for this purpose, but the Consular with guns is better than both. Can't decide whether I like the Consular better than the CR90 or Hammerhead.
>>95127205
>Also, stop saying 'Jedis'. It's 'Jedi'.
then what do you call a group of Jedi then?
>>95127254
You just said it yourself, Jedi. Same as a group of deer, or caribou, or moose.

>>95127228
>What about the Umbarans and Geonosians?
Umbarans were fighting off an invasion. One of the reasons why the Republic went there was likely because there was no Droid army presence. Likely thought it was going to be an easy grab.
>and Geonosians?
They did use Battle Droids though. Also, general populace Geonosians are expendable. Worker drones as it were.
>>95127195
>nubian
It's Nabooian or Naboo
So,why are the Star Wars fans so ugly? And will we see the Knights of Ren in TLJ?

>“My take on the Legends versus the canon thing is that the film and TV part of the franchise, it's doing the same thing it's always done,” Witwer said. “[If] you have to be slavishly consistent with comic books and books and stuff like that, then that puts the people who are making the movies and the TV shows at a major disadvantage because their workflow is so much slower, and there's so much more that has to be done.

>>95127915
Ehh, the LSG have been doing just fine, the movies haven't been held back by the LSG's push for consistency.
The movies and tv are the driving force for worldbuilding just because of how much content they actually expose to people. ESPECIALLY the tv shows. TCW is a huge bulk of canon Star Wars media right now.
But the comics and books have been doing just fine with the LSG weaving them in and out of other canon stuff, so it's all good.

The NR still reigns as the main government in the galaxy by TFA, so nothing dethrones them. We know that their Senate is painfully incompetent, which allows mistakes in Bloodline and TFA to happen. We know half of the Senate wants a standing army, while the other half wants every planet to make their own armies and fight for themselves, stalling any action that would happen. We know the Imperial hold outs after the peace treaty is signed are dealt with at most a year after Jakku.
There is nothing that can make the NR be interesting during the 30 years. It can only highlight their failures that lead into TFA. Taking Home One, filling it with fighter ships and having it patrol around the galaxy for "peace" isn't based or interesting in the least.

SW suffers from having material be released all over the 50 or so years between TPM and TLJ. Anything that comes before something else (in this case, anything before TFA) is automatically forced to conform to the standards shown in that later thing. You can't add anything ~special~ and ~exciting~ before a movie, when that movie does not mention that thing at all, or show any consequences of it.
Luke's Jedi Order will always have Ben destroying it and Luke going into exile hanging over it's head.
Ben will always have destroying the order and joining the FO hanging over his head.
The NR will always have "pretending the FO doesn't exist/isn't a theat" hanging over it's head.
The only way to make something worthwhile and interesting is to have it take place after episode 9, where it can actually shape the galaxy without the need of a movie.
Will he ever get a movie?

No matter how many times Anakin is shown to do good, it's all null and void by ROTS. Ahsoka wasn't there or mentioned, so obviously she had to go elsewhere. Obi-wan and Yoda both go into exile, no matter what they did in the war.
In terms of story, yes it is a waste of time, because most, if not all, of it is rendered pointless by ROTS. That doesn't mean it still can't be enjoyed for what it does.

The huge SPHA-T's mounted ship turbolasers to their gargantuan hulls, and them knocking down the coreships was badass, it's a shame they rarely ever appear after that. Their curvature is kind of strange though, relative to the rest of the Republic military design aesthetic. I don't know if it's still canon that Anakin mounted one to the ventral hangar of his Venator to blow the fuck out of Munificents like in the opening of ROTS but I hope it is.

i like that it's a fugly, functional excuse of a walker. they haven't gotten the terror aspect of the at-at's down until later down the line and this was what was originally the walker that started it off.
The Commerce Guild Diamond class cruiser is almost impossible to spot in the background of the Battle of Geonosis. Such a shame that so many of these things ILM designs wind up almost invisible in the movie when they spend so much effort modeling them and animating them and so on. Even worse that they get no recognition ex post facto.

>>95131186
They're not just editors, they have a lot more power than that. You remember the decision in 2014 to declare almost the entire EU "Legends" and non-canon? That was them. Nothing gets sent to theaters, stores, or television without their approval. They are not executives and can't shut projects down; rather they help advise in the creation of media so that things adhere to the new canon.
>>95131261
No it wasn't. Jyn was alright though.

>>95131112
The Lucasfilm Story Group is a group of people who manage the new canon. They collaborate with authors, game developers, directors, etc to keep their stuff in line with canon and help them with different little things. They can approve or deny different stuff(For example, HK-47 was going to cameo in one of the Aftermath books but the LSG vetoed it).
They originally began as an initiative by Kathleen Kennedy to abolish the Canon Hierarchy system in favor of a single cohesive canon. They were the ones to officially decanonize the entire expanded universe outside of the Films, TCW, and the Darth Maul comic based on an unfinished TCW arc.
Also, just because they're involved on something doesn't make it canon. Some members worked on SWTOR and LEGO Freemaker Adventures but both of those are not considered canonical.
>>95131176
JJ only agreed to do TFA if he could bring Bad Robot on to work on the film alongside Lucasfilm, which made the power balance slightly skewed
Plus he was a total dickbag who changed little things at the last minute like altering the opening crawl without telling anyone
Luckily, Lucasfilm is in charge of all future films. Rogue One is a prime example of that, as it was much more in line with
not letting a female direct it.
what are you, sexist?
>>95131348
u wot m8?
I'm not quite sure what you just said, please rephrase it as specifically as possible
>>95131286
Yeah. Basically they have complete control on what is and isn't canon.
They can't shut a project down if it deviates from canon, but they'll advise the creator and tell him what to change and etc. If someone simply ignores this and still wants to release a product without their approval, they won't be able to shut it down, but they will definitely mark it as non-canon and ignore it completely. At least that's how I imagine it'd go down, since nothing of the sorts has happened yet.

Kino meme aside, it was a great movie. Instead of looking at what Lucas did and copying it, it looked what HOW Lucas did what he did: going back to early cinema and literature and using those influences to make a good movie and not just a popcorn flick.
Rogue One borrows a LOT from World War 2 and Cold War era war movies and espionage thrillers, as long as other things that influenced Lucas like martial arts movies and pulpy space operas. They took all of that as reference to create a very exciting war movie set in the Star Wars universe, but with a feel of its own.
