What do you like most about cartoons?

How much people in this day and age on the internet read into them and side with the antagonists and defend the antagonists and want the antagonists to do what they did to the characters in the cartoon to them in real life since they believe so strongly in the antagonists.

Cartoons and comics and most forms of entertainment are a crutch in a society that would rather project themselves into those worlds than deal with the world as it is. We'd rather argue over the identities of people who are fake because we can't deal with our own identity and the 'identity' of society as a whole. You think maybe if you could change that one thing about that character it'd be a step towards something better. Something you could enjoy more or maybe even a movement that could change the world or maybe add a little bit of joy into a pathetic and painful existence.


But in reality we are all wasting our time.

Absurdity and visual variety.

I actually had trouble getting into Ed Ed and Eddy as a youngster because it was about "normal kids". If only I knew how far CN would take "normal".
Total Drama Island, SixTEEN? blech.
The worst thing about modern cartoons, aside from sameface, is this need to appease toddler "socialites" with stories about "being awkward" and "dating" and "treating women with respect".

It's the creators that read into them. "is this gender-balanced enough?"

I guess as a kid, I found them funny.

the ability to have absurd environments that would be impracitcal in real life
