Does anyone else think that this episode kind of described what it would be like to be a truly perfect egoist? This episode had Rick and Morty achieve their greatest desires with tremendous personal satisfaction because of an inability to become upset or discouraged by the results of their attempts to achieve. Rick even became a much less aggressive and malicious individual (Morty a bit of the opposite but he certainly wasn't violent or evil, I think his arc was also a bit of a cocaine joke, making him a stock broker, picking up girls at bars, and inability to stop talking) while still becoming more accomplished and satisfied, having actually seized his goals. I don't think that was the writing staff's intention, it's just a reading I took of it.

I'm not sure what you mean about healthy Rick. The traits that healthy Rick was missing were three traits that allowed him to figures things out quickly, take charge, and go the extra distance for his family. He didn't need to take them back, but he was a morally upright person so he did.

Morty got rid of all the things a meek teenage boy with insecurities would get rid of. As a result, he lacked introspection. This causes him to always reach out to others and focus on his next goal.

The end of the episode was healthy Morty doing what he's been doing and taking the next step to a goal in front of him.
