I've watched season 1 & 2, and some of 3, but nothing else

If you want the purest experience stop at the beginning of season 5, but other than that keep going and stop if you feel the need to. This could happen at any point after season 5.

I think that seasons 7 and 8 (and 9 technically if we're going by the new order) are very good but if you're bored/annoyed by seasons 5 and 6 then just dropping it is probably your best bet.
