No it isn't you idiot. Flash never had problems with his powers for like 50 years before the Speed Force even existed. He just had a dumb aura around him that solved all the problems. Unless you think Barry was burning his eyeballs out everytime he ran in the silver age before the Speed Force.

Waid made the Speed Force for plenty of reasons. Handwaiving why the Flash doesn't blow up when he runs isn't among them.

to be honest If i had either powerset, i would automatically start using them to save people from immediate danger. Both powersets have a drawback, though. If you had Superman's powers you could hear whenever someone was in danger (i.e. falling from a building, passed out at the wheel, ect.), but it would take you a while to get there. Of course you could fly fast enough, but you're not immune to aerodynamics or friction and would definitely tear shit up in the process.

With Flash's powers you could easily get there fast enough cause Speedforce, but you don't have super-hearing or x-ray vision, so you would have to be zipping around 24/7 looking for people to help.

tl;dr you can't save everyone

Yes. Wally has specifically mentioned how his powers have a more or less autopilot mode that makes stuff like running across the world not feel like a million strides. He has slipped into speed mode on accident a few times when bored but I think that's a lot better than hearing every wrong in the world all at once.

TV show is awful garbage and never assume someone is talking about it unless they're obviously doing it. That's just an extension of the "I have to eat a bunch of calories" thing that comics did away with ages ago because it stops being interesting the second story you use it.

The Flash CAN go infinitely fast. That's as fast as it gets. Superman isn't surpassing that by getting Speed Force. He probably wouldn't be able to match up because he wouldn't be as good at it as the dude who grew up with his powers from 20 years.
