who was in the wrong, and why was it penny?
>>
>>95072000
Bojack. He knew it was wrong and he still went through with it. Penny is just a stupid teenager who was going to make a mistake and Bojack KNEW THIS hence why he initially pushed her away
>>
>>95072000
She didn't set up the door to lock after her mother entered, nor was she able to slip her mother an aphrodisiac in order to reenact her favorite porn comic, "The Time I Got My Mom To Fuck A Horse With Me".

What do you mean initially?
>>
>>95072000
Bojack is an adult. He is supposed to be the responsible one.
>>
>>95072000
It always bugged me in the third season when Bojack sleeps with Todd's friend and then gets all the blame for it, as if it he did it maliciously and that only men have any sexual agency. Maybe I missed something but it bugged me.
>>
>>95072000
Penny didnt know any better, which was what Bojack kept telling her.....You know, before he tried to have sex with his friends daughter that looks like her.
>>
>>95072117
I agree especially with bojack's drugged up retort to that situation being smack dab in the middle of his worst drug binge ever as if that made him any less right fuck todd for that betrayal this is even after bojack admitted todd was his best friend and he still had a long way to go for change.
>>
>>95072091
>What do you mean initially

Writers confirmed Bojack was DTF.

>>95072117
Yeah. That felt pretty weak. Especially after Todd turned her down.
>>
>>95072000
Neither of them.

Aw man, we're having this discussion again. Brings a tear to me ol' eye.
>>
>>95072000
>>95072117

It's always funny how it falls on the male to take responsibility for the situation, simply because females can't take responsibility for anything at all.

They're so strong, smart and independent, but the second a scenario happens where she did something wrong OOPS she's too dumb to know better! Which one is it ladies?

This scenario happens all the time. Female seduces older male because they like older males. Older male responds.... Oh no the older male should have "known better" and said no. She never has to "know better" and not go after older dudes in the fucking first place.
>>
which one is penny
>>
>>95072117
This was what made me realize that Todd's not only broken but he's also kind of a bad person in his own way too.

Not bitter and hateful like Bojack, but there's something definitely wrong with him and not just because his penis doesn't work.
>>
>>95072000
Honestly, Charlotte.

If she wasn't caught by her busting in, it really wouldn't have been all that bad for. It becoming this big shameful, dramatic thing is what made it a fucked up situation.
>>
>>95072117
DUDE I'M ASEXUAL LMAO

Yeah what I don't get is that weren't they not even doing anything? Just siting on the bed together and chilling and the mom just rushed to conclusions?

This!
>>
>>95072117
Yeah, that was definitely bullshit. It makes Todd's criticism of him ring a little hollow.
>>
>>95072692
What do you mean by writers confirm? All you have to do is just watch the fucking episode to find out.
>>
They're both stupid and at fault, but Bojack carries more of the responsibility, being the supposed adult in the situation.

Bojack, he should have known she wasn't In for a pound
>>
>>95072051
He pushed her away twice. Then told her to go to sleep. Sure, he didn't close his door but at that point personal responsibility has to come into play. They were both in the wrong.
>>
>>95078829
Ok, I have to give you that one if you came up with that.
>>
>>95078841
Okay yeah. Both sounds about right.
>>
>>95072000
Penny tried to rape him. Then hid this fact and placed the blame on him.

She better get what she has coming this season.
>>
>>95079632
>Penny tried to rape him
I think most people didn't catch this because of innate sexism. He's about to pass out on the bed and she's about to fuck him...this is rape.
>>
>>95079643
Yep after telling her to go and she refuses and forces her way to there to prey on him in his vulnerable state because she wants it regardless of what he wants.
>>
>>95072000
Someone explain because i've never watched this show. Sounds like statutory rape.
>>
>>95078841
>Not closing the door to your bedroom means you're responsible for being raped

Holy shit you are stupid.
>>
>>95079680
Penny is the teenage daughter of the girl he loved a long time ago. He reunites with her mother and they become close and he essentially lives with the family for a while.

Bojack has lots of issues and is prone to making mistakes, but in a genuine show of good judgment on his part that he's not usually capable of he turns down the daughter when she wants to fuck him since she's developed quite a crush on him.

He tells her to leave and then he goes into his room on the boat to pass out. She decides she'll come in there anyway and undress and fuck him while he's about to pass out. Her mother comes in and assumes he's at fault and he gets persecuted and the daughter gets off scot-free.
>>
>>95075581
I've thought Todd was a bad person since the game show episode in Season 1. He was just a bitch to that mouse for literally no reason, but Todd never gets told off when he's the one pulling shit.
>>
>>95078841
>You're in the wrong for someone being attracted to you and rejecting them..and then they try to rape you
>But only if it's the guy that's doing the rejecting and is gonna be raped

Modern feminism everybody
>>
BoJack was drunk.
Penny was sober.
BoJack told her no multiple times.
Penny persisted.
BoJack was passive lying in bed.
Penny has knocked over a lamp, possible from a struggle, and was actively undressing him.

BoJack isn't innocent, but Penny was being a rapist. I feel like we're gonna find out her "I was just a kid I didn't know any better" was actually her feeling guilt about the near-rape, not BoJack trying to take advantage of her - which he was not.
>>
>>95079790
>BoJack isn't innocent
He sounds like the definition of innocent in this moment
>>
>>95079717
It's season 2 actually.
>>
>>95072789
It wasn't me, but it was obvious that one was going to die
>>
>>95073018

Are you retarded? You actually are, man.

It has nothing to do with gender. If the genders were reversed Bojane would still be in the wrong. He's in his mid 40s and she's a 16-17 year old girl with no real self-esteem to speak of.

No matter the gender, the decent thing would have been to tell her from the start, without a doubt, that he's not interested at all. While pushing her away he clearly indicated that yes, he wanted to have her. It's called taking advantage (of her insecurity and lack of good judgement). That's very obvious to see if you don't have autism.

So yes, any socially sane person would find Bojack to have been in the wrong.
>>
>>95082312
She was attempting to rape him, just how delusional are you?
>>
>>95082362
It's modern feminism at work. A man is always wrong if a female is involved and responsible for everything.

This is actually preached by one of the "modern leaders of feminism" in her defense of having sex with young boys that are only like 12 years old.
>If they have an erection then anything sexual that occurs is THEIR responsibility

And people wonder why feminism is seen as bad/evil these days, it's literally going full Sith lord
>>
>>95082382

Nope, but as I said an adult is always wrong in these kinds of situations. Yes, there may be kids who exploit this fact to their own end, but mostly it's adults taking advantage of kids in these kinds of situations.
>>
>>95072135

This underrated post is the only fully correct one. A grown man shouldn't even get into the situation Bojack has been in at the end, no matter if Penny tried to rape him or if he wanted some nostalgia fuck.
>>
>>95072135
He didn't try to have sex with her
>>95082498
A grown man can't control everything in the universe with his will alone.

Yes, unbeknownst to you, men DON'T have the power to avoid being raped when they're about to pass out after being drunk.

Shocking, I know.
>>
>>95082498
>A grown man shouldn't even get into the situation Bojack has been in at the end
>A grown man can't have any kind of relationship with any woman so that they could develop any kind of feelings at some moment and take advantage of them

I want to slap the stupid out of you

I'm rewatching the episode again. Looks like Bojack is missing a bunch of subtle hints of shit going the wrong

>>95082572
>He didn't try to have sex with her
But he did set himself up as an authority figure to her.

In his defense he didn't anticipate Charlotte having a family.
>>
>>95083034

>>
>>95083834
t. someone who hasn't been raped.
>>
>>95072117
I dont know if the writers were saying Todd was "right" in this situation or his anger was "rational" but it was a legitimate reaction front he character.
>>
>>95083952

>>
>>95072000
Penny's mom for not letting her daughter fuck who she wants
>>
>>95083815
>But he did set himself up as an authority figure to her.
Holy shit an OLDER MAN setting himself as an authority figure to a YOUNGER GIRL?!?!?!? No fucking wonder Penny tried to rape him he was practically asking for it

Will you please take like ten fucking seconds and think about how fucking stupid this sounds? Like, I know /co/ has become tumblr lite, but nowhere inside your head could you legitimately think a man is at any way at fault for a female taking advantage of him
>>
>>95072051
hey there, puritan.

he was responsible. he told her to go to bed.

>>95072117
>>95073018
>>95078021
>>95084020

the writers want to slut shame the male main character. notice how he made sure one of the other teenagers take the fall when he had let them drink and not take responsibility? that was several times worse than trying to get with a mature teenager.

This thread is getting everywhere.

Bojack is, what, 40ish? Full grown adult.

Penny is a teenager.

Penny, the Teenager, shouldn't be lusting hard but leniancy can be granted for her not knowing. That leniancy was lost after he told her no TWIIIICE. But still, she a young damn fool.

BOJACK, again, is a full grown adult. And he could've left the house anytime. He could've gone out for a drive. He could've gotten a drink somewhere. He could've grabbed a fucking mcdouble and small drink to chill at a park bench and watch the stars for an emotional few hours until Penny had to sleep.

It's not because Bojack's a dood and Penny's a guurl. Rule 63 this shit and it'd be the same scenario.

loooool

>teens are tried as adults in court
>teens can get abortions without parents consent
>teen drive cars, which is literally operating heavy machinery at high speeds

so you think teens don't know about lust, they're completely devoid of thought or self control?

guess what else. the only reason people are arguing about it is because penny is a "girl" and bojack is a dude. it would not be the same scenario AT ALL if the roles were switched because right wing societies want to control younger female sexuality

teenagers like alcohol and they regularly drink it in high school. In America (illegally) and in other countries around the world (legally).

If they don't get someone to buy it for them outright they steal it from someone.

Bojack enabled what they wanted to do - and definitely could have done - on their own.
