Longest hiatus i remember since ive been following this show since when peridot came in in 2015. Its really fucked up and is sadly telling that someone high up reslly doesnt like the show and refuses to air the new episodes even though as shown by the comic con previews that it is finished and ready for broadcast and has been for months

I'm kind of glad that it's been off the air as of late. It's just another chore to sit through.I really liked seasons 1-2 but the latter half of 3 and 4 really changed the tone and values of the show for the worst. It feels like a parody of itself now. It's frustration. I rewatched the first two seasons recently and it's amazing how hard the quality dropped after that.

Ratings? If they somehow gave a shit enough about continuity they could just throw out filler episodes. But I doubt that's the case.

Star Vs and Gravity Falls are plot centric, but that never stopped XD from airing reruns. Hell I got into Star halfway through S2 and then I watched in order. Actually airing the show will get kids and newcomers interested.

I feel like the continuity thing is dumb. I can't think of a single show airing right now that's too hard to follow at any point. Maybe there'll be one line in the entire episode that doesn't make perfect sense to a newcomer but that's it. I remember being a kid and getting frustrated at not seeing every Danny Phantom episode and sometimes stuff would happen that clearly built on stuff from previous episodes that I was just left in the dark about.
